Lizzie Rovsek Talks Season 9 Of Real Housewives of Orange County

RHOC 9

Our favorite California girls — no offense Beverly Hills! — are back!! The Real Housewives of Orange County season 9 is set to premiere on Monday, April 14 at 9pm/8 central and it is shaking up to be a season with a little something different.

With Bravo giving the ax to Gretchen Rossi and Alexis Bellino, and Lydia McLaughlin leaving after only one season, there are some new girls on the block. Shannon Beador is a housewife and mother of three with her husband David. Kentucky native, Lizzie Rovsek is a former pageant girl and Miss Kentucky, married to Christian, mother of two boys and she owns her own swimwear company.

Wetpaint Entertainment was lucky enough to sit down with Lizzie Rovsek recently and get her take on meeting Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Barney and what else we have to look forward to on the new season of RHOC.

Right off the bat, Lizzie mentions that she was approached by producers to be part of the show, surprising because I would think women were scratching and clawing to be on the show. Score one for Lizzie!

A noted fan of the show, Wetpaint asked if she had any expectations when meeting the other cast members. "Yea. There were certain women that I thought that I would really like at first. I found that the one woman that I thought I would really hit it off with was really insulting when I met her. And then there was another Housewife that I was kind of warned against, and I ended up hitting it off with her right from the beginning!"

Oooohhhhh, I wonder who insulted her? Vicki? Heather Dubrow?

The usually volatile Tamra Barney was the housewife that surprised her the most. "I had seen the show before, so I had an idea of what most of them were like. In the beginning, Tamra [Barney] and I really hit it off, and I had a lot of fun with her. I didn’t know if she would like me, since she’s been the one fighting on the show a lot. We actually hit it off and had a lot of fun together."

What is interesting there is that she says, "in the beginning," sounds like their bliss may not have lasted.

Lizzie Rovsek also has kind things to say about Vicki's on-again-off-again boyfriend, Brooks — which literally makes her one of 4 people on the planet who cannot see that this guy is a no-good, hanger-on, user. "I like Brooks, my husband likes Brooks. I’m from Kentucky, and when I hear a Southern accent it’s a little comforting. From what we’ve seen, he seems to be a very nice, laidback guy. And he seems to really love Vicki."

Sounds like it is going to be a great season!
