Andy Cohen has scored his very own channel on SiriusXM satellite radio.

Radio Andy, the name of the channel, will broadcast 24/7 entertainment news, including a weekly radio show hosted by Andy. “This will be the radio extension of my love for pop culture – everything high and low,” announced Andy. “[It will feature] mainly talk from a curated group of celebrities and pop culture fanatics that I love and admire, with some music.”

Andy said, “I love radio, and the creative challenge of programming a channel around people I’m passionate about is intoxicating. Personally, I’ve been looking for an outlet where I can do more long-form interviews, and SiriusXM is the perfect home for my brand of uncensored, deep, and shallow talk. Furthermore, I consider Howard Stern a media role model, so working under the same roof will be a thrill.”

About the once-a-week show Andy will host personally, he shared, “It will be an up-to-the-minute rant about what I’m obsessed with in pop culture featuring long form interviews with actors, singers, writers, reality stars, and beyond; if I’m interested, I’ll have them on.”

Scott Greenstein of SiriusXM, said, “Andy Cohen is a dynamic and larger-than-life personality whose unique brand of entertainment genius has changed the way we watch TV. Let’s listen to what happens when Andy does radio and taps into what’s fun and happening in pop culture.”

Andy… a genius? Is he sirius? <ha-groans-ha> I know, I know. I couldn’t resist. But, seriously, I can only take Watch What Happens Live in very small doses. My brain hurts just trying to imagine 24/7 of Andy’s special brand of personality. Never-the-less, congrats to Andy!
