If you don’t follow us on Twitter or Facebook, you may not know why the site has “gone green” this week with partial pieces of the site’s images shaded green. The photos are 19% shaded in green to represent the wage gap between men and women – with women only earning eighty one cents for every dollar a man makes. In partnership with The Girls Lounge, our parent company has been working to get the word out and get the conversation moving forward with their #MarchForward campaign.
In honor of their hard work, we thought we’d put the spotlight on some hard working women in reality TV who are making their own way – and setting their own wages! Check out the gallery below for our five favorite successful women in reality TV: Lilly Ghalichi, Lisa Vanderpump, Nicole Polizzi, Bethenny Frankel, and Kandi Burruss.
Lilly Ghalichi
Lilly Ghalichi was wealthy and successful well before her short-lived stint on reality TV's Shahs of Sunset and will continue to be well after it.
Lilly is a lawyer, an entrepreneur, a swimwear designer, and is seeing huge successes with her lash line, which even earns huge praises from well known celebrities, including the Kardashians.
Kandi Burruss has made her living off of her musical talent since a very young age and continues to dominate in many aspects of the music business, but she has also added several other successful business ventures to her resume.
Kandi is a clothing boutique owner, play producer, runs an adult toy empire (as well as the team of women who sell the products at home parties), Bedroom Kandi, and is now getting ready to open her first in a potential chain of restaurants!

Nicole Polizzi aka Snooki
Snooki may have played a drunken ditz on Jersey Shore, but the all-grown-up-now Nicole Polizzi is no dumb bunny. Snooki parlayed her reality TV stardom into a full-fledged business empire. Nicole has authored books, launched clothing and accessory lines, participated in a new mom-centric webseries, and so much more since she put the partying days behind her!

Bethenny Frankel
Bethenny Frankel was born with the hustle inside of her and has never stopped trying to achieve her dreams. When she burst onto the reality TV scene, she had just five grand to her name and has built herself a mega-empire filled with Skinnygirl products (eventually selling the alcoholic beverages piece for millions) and has written multiple books. The Skinnygirl mogul is now stepping her successful feet into the producing arena, launching her own production company "B Real" - with new shows like "Food Porn" already airing!

Lisa Vanderpump
Lisa Vanderpump may take part in two hit reality shows, but they are far from her bread and butter. Lisa makes her own way - running three successful restaurants, managing a line of Vanderpump beverages, a lifestyle collection, a pet accessories collection and more! Along with her many business ventures, she also finds time to advocate tirelessly for animal rights.
