Abby Lee Miller Is Returning To Dance Moms; Looking For New Cast Members

Even though the show is called Dance Moms, it really isn’t about the dancers or their mothers. Abby Lee Miller has always been and will always be the biggest star on the show. Yes, the show carried on last season in her absence. Yes, I still watched every single episode.

Nevertheless, it just wasn’t the same without Abby’s absurd antics. Now, it looks like Abby is gearing up for Dance Moms Season 8 and she’s looking for some new talent.

According to the website DanceMomsCasting.com, Abby is back on the show and she is looking for some new dancers- and dance moms, of course. It’s unclear if she’s completely cleaning house or if some of the cast members from last season will return next season.

The website announcement reads, “Seeking serious competitive dancers and their moms! The most infamous dance instructor in the world is going back to her roots and only interested in parents who are ready to take their kids to the next level.” So how does this work? Does the child audition with a dance routine and the mother shows up to demonstrate her skills in a screaming match?

What is she looking for? “Abby Lee Miller is currently holding auditions for her new ALDC elite competition team. Dancers must be MINIS 7-9 or JUNIORS 10-12. All must be serious about competing and winning on a national level.”

Very interesting. Personally I’m all about Abby’s Dance Moms return. I will miss some of the dancers and their mothers, but if I had to pick Abby or every other person who has been on this show, I would have to choose Abby. Abby Lee Miller is Dance Moms. No one brings that same level of intensity to the series the way Abby has throughout the years.
