Ready or not! Tonight marks the latest season of The Bachelor: On The Wings of Love with Pilot Jake Pavelka. And as we have previously reported, this season will not disappoint as one of Jake’s bachelorettes was caught in a steamy affair with a crew member. Jake has played coy when asked whether or not he found love on the show, he does reveal in an interview with USWeekly magazine that he “went [into the show] on cloud nine and came out the same way.”
TVGuide spoke with the 31-year-old Dallas based pilot about his new season, how he responds to being labeled perfect, and why he has no regrets. Jake also shares a little TMI (too much information) when he reveals his aspirations to became a member of the mile high club. More excerpts from Jake’s interview is below -
TVGuide.com: What did you bring from your experience on The Bachelorette to The Bachelor? Jake Pavelka: When you’re on The Bachelorette, you have a lot of time to think, analyze and go over different conversations you’ve had. You don’t have a cell phone, your parents to talk to, your friends, and everything just slows everything down to a good pace. You start becoming really aware of how what you say affects people and it makes you a lot better at dating and in relationships.
TVGuide.com: Given the show’s not-so-stellar record, are you a bit skeptical of the process? Pavelka: Well, you can have everything in common with somebody, the same goals, same values, same temperament, same dreams, and there’s just not that indescribable magic spark that makes a relationship pop. So I didn’t go in pushing. I knew everybody would be unbelievable, and they were, but I was waiting to see where that spark was going to be. The show does have a bit of a rough history, people breaking up or changing their minds, and that’s OK. I tried to be very honest no matter how painful it was and I just remained really open-minded.
TVGuide.com: So then it’s safe to assume you were in the moment, whether that involved hot tubs or not? Pavelka: My answer to that is I’m going to go on there to be myself. In regards to the hot tub stuff, if I were to go in and meet a girl in Starbucks, date her, start getting really close and then jump into a hot tub with her with a swimsuit on, why not do that? That’s the problem that everybody tacks onto the show, “This isn’t real life.” It really is. So if you go on there trying to be something you’re not, “Well I would get in a hot tub in real life, but I’m not going to do it here because it’s on TV,” it’s almost a little hypocritical. You’re not being yourself and not allowing these women to get to know who you really are.
I stressed to the producers that that’s exactly what needs to happen this season: everybody being themselves. A lot of the dates and different activities we got to do on the show were geared around what I would do in my normal life — what dates scream Jake.
TVGuide.com: Last season, some of your fellow contestants thought you were too perfect. How do you respond to that? Pavelka: Is it perfect or too perfect? [Laughs] Well, being perfect, I think, what a compliment, golly! I don’t know what it is that makes people or made the guys on the show and Jillian say that I was too perfect. Something that I see in the dating world these days is a little bit of a lack of chivalry and it’s gotten so bad that women almost don’t expect it anymore. In my opinion, it doesn’t have anything to do with being independent or as strong as men. I just think it’s something that an attractive, intelligent woman should expect from a man. Just a little bit of chivalry.
TVGuide.com: Do you have dating rules you to like to follow? Pavelka: After an unbelievable date, if I want to call her the next morning, I’m just going to call. If that turns her off, “he’s smothering me, it’s too much too quick,” then that’s OK; we’re probably on two different pages and better now than later. When I like someone, I want them to know. Dating does not have to be that complicated. The one thing that is a little bit different on the show is it’s an accelerated process. If you’re truly interested, you got to lay your heart out there and do it quick and that’s something I’m really good at.
TVGuide.com: Well, since you’re a pilot, I have to ask: Have you joined the mile-high club? Pavelka: [Laughs] I am not a member of the mile-high club, but I’ll leave you with this: I aspire to be, no I don’t aspire to be, I will be.
The upcoming seventh season of Lifetime’s Project Runway, set to premier Jan. 14 (10 p.m. EST), will once again include a number of Celebrity guest judges.
Nicole Richie will serve as the first guest judge on the season premiere of the design competition. “Nicole is a fabulous guest judge,” saidProject Runway executive producer Sara Rea. “She has strong opinions and gives clear and specific constructive criticism to the designers. Also, she isn’t afraid to disagree with the other judges.”
Nicole, who currently has her own fashion line and a line of jewelry, taped the premiere episode last summer before giving birth to her son Sparrow in September.
Celebrity guest judges from last season included Christina Aguilera, Rebecca Romijn, Eva Longoria Parker, Lindsay Lohan and Cindy Crawford.
The finale of MTV’s fashion reality show – Styl’d aired last night with Brett Nelson being declared the winner. The Kansas city born native beat out runner up Gary Samuelian to take home the grand prize.
The finale episode began with the immediate firing of Janna, whom according to Jen Rade, just didn’t have what it takes to become a stylist. Next to go was Cody who’s weakness was not being able to style women as well as he did men’s styling.
The final 3 came down to Brett, Gary and Tara. The judges including Julie Weiss, Jen Rade and Eric Archibald ultimately decided that Tara was not right for the job due to her attitude problem. This left Brett and Gary to battle it out for the chance to sign a contract with the Margaret Maldonado Agency styling agency.
The judges felt Brett was the better man for the job and he was offered the MMA styling contract. No word yet on whether or not the show will be back for a second season.
I was actually a big fan of this show and was rooting for Gary to win. I felt he was right up there with Brett, and was actually surprised the judges would feel more comfortable sending Brett out on a job over Gary.

A close friend of Hailey Glassman is alleging that the former girlfriend of Jon Gosselin is very scared of him. This comes after Hailey accused Jon of attacking her by pushing her up against a wall in a jealous rage.
Things recently got worse for Jon & Hailey’s relationship with Hailey filing a harassment complaint against Jon with the NYPD on December 20, 2009, and with Jon accusing Hailey of being the person who ransacked and robbed their NY apartment.
Mandy Sassano, a “concerned friend” of Hailey’s told RadarOnline: “The situation has gotten totally out of hand and Hailey is now very scared of Jon Gosselin – she just wants him to leave her alone.” Mandy continues, “She told me that the attack story is true and that he pinned her to the wall of their apartment after he got into a jealous rage when she was photographed with [boxing promoter] Damon Feldman.”
Mandy also believes Hailey is not capable of destroying an apartment as claimed by Jon. “Anybody that knows Hailey will tell you that she is not capable of trashing the apartment that they used to share – it’s just not her style.”
According to Mandy, Hailey just wants to move on with her life, but Jon won’t let her. “Apparently, he has a way of finding out where she is through his GPS system and that really freaks her out – it’s time for him to back-off because her friends and family are worried and upset now.”
Mandy also confirmed that Jon did indeed borrow a large amount of money from Hailey. “She claims that she gave him an $80,000 loan to re-pay money back into his joint bank account with his wife after he pleaded with Hailey that he could not pay the money and that he feared he might lose his kids as a result.”
“I remember one occasion when we were out for a meal with Jon and Hailey and a few other people and he actually had the nerve to use one of Kate’s credit cards to pay for the four of us – that’s the type of person he is,” concluded Mandy.

Is Tamra Barney a grandma? There are rumors floating around that the self professed “hottest housewife” on the block might have become a grandmother. Allegedly Tamra’s son,Ryan Vieth posted some information on his facebook about his one month old daughter named Dakota Vieth. Perhaps someone with access to Ryan’s page can confirm this for us.
Gretchen Rossi also recently took to her facebook fanpage to post a photo of her shooting a commercial for TurboTax, not sure what the correlation is between Gretchen & taxes but a behind the scenes photo is below.
Could the he said-she said saga involving Hailey Glassman and Jon Gosselin be coming to an end? That answer is yes according to RadarOnline, who is reporting a sit down is in the works for the two idiots to sit with their attorneys and work out their issues.
Those issues include Jon accusing Hailey of ransacking and robbing their NYC apartment, and Hailey accusing Jon of physically attacking her by pushing her against a wall.
After days of attacking each other in the media, it seems both parties are ready to call a truce. Hailey’s attorney Stephanie Ovadia told Radar exclusively: “Hailey, Jon myself and Mr. Heller (Jon’s attorney, Mark Heller) have decided to privately sit down at the table and discuss the matter. We are going to discuss a resolution.”
Jon’s attorney confirmed to RadarOnline as well that a meeting will be taking place soon. People magazine is also reporting that
according to a source, “Jon is in New York and is speaking to Hailey. They’re trying to come to a resolution.”
