The Real Housewives of New Jersey Recap: Kim G vs Danielle

Last night brought us the 13th episode of the Real Housewives of New Jersey, featuring the big showdown between Danielle Staub and former BFF Kim Granatell.

After watching the drama that took place between these two, I only have three questions. Who is nuttier between the two? Who is the bigger drama queen? And did Danielle finally meet her match in Kim G?

The episode begins with the morally and financially bankrupt Giudices, who have now come up with another creative way to continue living beyond their means, even after filing bankruptcy. Joe and Teresa visit the Brownstone to plan out yet another party. This time around, it’s for baby Audriana‘s christening and Teresa declares she wants ice sculptures. Teresa then reveals that the cause of Dina not being around anymore is Danielle. Evidently their close friendship only extended to being in front of Bravo cameras.

Next up we see Danielle pull up to a hospital, and we soon find out this TMI hospital visit is for her 16-year-old daughter’s first visit to see a OB-GYN, and I find myself asking if it was really necessary for Danielle to bring the cameras around for something so private. I mean it’s bad enough Christine has Danielle for a mother, is it really necessary to have her OB-GYN appointments filmed? Are we about to see poor Christine’s pap smear? Are the other home viewers as uncomfortable for Christine as I am at this point? Thankfully, we find out this appointment was more of a talking one. Danielle decides she isn’t done embarrassing her daughter on national television and proceeds to ask her if she’s having sex or “being a good girl” rather. An embarrassed Christine refuses to answer, and we get a HPV after school special. In this scene we also find out born again virgin Danielle does not date, not surprising considering she’s too busy making sex tapes with randoms.

Christopher Manzo is playing some pool with best friend John G. who just happens to be Kim G’s son. Kim G. decides to randomly show up with some popcorn for the adult men, and immediately gives us this awkward scene when she tries to get Christoper to arrange a playdate between she and Caroline. “Umm… Why don’t we go with you,” is what Chris is able to muster up. Kim G. is game and ready to do whatever it takes to become a regular on the show Caroline Manzo’s new BFF!

It’s the day of the wedding quinceanera christening and we see Teresa getting her girls ready. “Mom, where’s my purse? Can I wear my silver Juicy Couture one?” asks diva in training Gia. Teresa shares that Joe’s a little grumpy this morning due to working long hours in the pizzeria, oops his father’s pizzeria that is of course. Me thinks Joe’s a little grumpy cause he had just gone bankrupt trying to make his wife happy, but that’s just me.

Preview The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Plus Teresa Giudice Humiliated On The View

Tonight brings us a new episode of the Real Housewives of New Jersey, titled ‘Don’t Drink the Holy Water.‘

Kim G. and Jacqueline may find common ground as Kim G. recounts the latest Danielle drama and insists that their friendship is over. Skeptical of her past two-faced behavior, Jacqueline is not quick to trust and even calls Kim G. out on her shady behavior.

Also this week, Dina Manzo makes a guest appearance as she’s named Teresa’s baby’s godmother. Will Dina’s brief return get her caught up in any Housewife drama? And finally, we get the big showdown between Danielle and Kim G. The new episode airs tonight at10/9c on Bravo.

In other Housewives news, Teresa Giudice appeared on The View talk show this morning and her appearance was nothing short of extremely humiliating as she was verbally bitchslapped by the show’s hosts.

Teresa, who seemed very excited to be going on the show according to her twitter, likely did not expect the intense interrogation she received. Right from the start, Teresa seemed tense and nervous, even stammering over her words. She was grilled by the ladies about her financial situation, and at one point during the show, host Joy Behar was just laughing at her, right in front of her.

Teresa’s appearance on the show was first preempted by the foreclosure argument she had with Danielle. The first question came from Elisabeth Hasselbeck who wanted to know how she went broke, since she is always shown spending frivolously on the show. Before Teresa could even finish stammering her words to answer Elisabeth’s question, Joy chimed in, “Is your husband a slumlord?”

And before Teresa could finish answering Joy’s slumlord question, guest host Bryant Gumbel brought up the accusations being made by Joe Giudice’s former business partner, who told PEOPLE magazine a while back that a bad economy only played a small role in the Giudices bankruptcy filing, saying living beyond their means played a big role.

After Teresa tried to put the bankruptcy blame on a bad economy and Joe’s businesses going bad, Bryant brought up a good point when he asked her if people not paying Joe rent could really be to blame for their $11 mil debt. Teresa then claimed their debt was not $11 mil and that those numbers were exaggerated by the media. Bryant asked her how much her debt was, “$10 million?” snarked Bryant to Teresa, who then replied that she did not know the exact amount.

Teresa claimed she was not aware of her huge debt because Joe kept it from her until it was absolutely necessary to tell her. I always live within my means. Always. The money was coming in from the apartment buildings so we were able to live the lifestyle that we did,” insisted Teresa. “How are you living within your means if you’re $11 mil in debt? I don’t get that,” were the next words out of Joy’s mouth.

Teresa was also asked about the foreclosure rumors, to which she said her home is not in foreclosure and has never been in foreclosure. Regarding the upcoming Aug 22 auction, she confirmed her lawyer has filed an objection. She was also asked if the ring she was wearing was real, to which she admitted it was “costume jewelry.”

When asked about the Dancing With The Stars rumors, Teresa said she could not comment on it. “You should go on Dancing With The Stars, and then have a yard sale!” exclaimed other guest host Mario Cantone. And yes folks, it was that kinda day for Teresa. I almost felt bad for her when it was all over. Almost.

NJ Housewives’ Caroline Manzo Deposed In Danielle Staub Lawsuit, BFFs With Jill Zarin?

More behind the scenes drama for the Real Housewives of New Jersey.

The NJ.com is reporting that Caroline Manzo has been deposed in the $5 million defamation lawsuit filed against Danielle Staub by her ex-husband Kevin Maher.

Maher tells the site, “Caroline Manzo saw Danielle Staub for who she truly is right off the bat and never gave Danielle the opportunity to hurt her like the rest of the housewives did,” adding that, “therefore we felt that Caroline’s testimony would be impartial and the most valued in these proceedings.”

Neither Caroline or Danielle’s has yet to comment on this latest development.

Jill Zarin & Caroline Manzo New BFFs – In other news, it seems Jill Zarin, star of the Real Housewives of New York City is back to her old famewhoring habits. First a very random story came out in multiple media outlets last week that Florida governor and senatorial candidate Charlie Crist and his wife Carole were staying with Jill while in the Hamptons meeting with environmentalists and campaigning.

Then this week, exactly a week later, the HollywoodLife also reported that Caroline Manzo stayed at Jill’s home in the Hamptons instead of staying with sister Dina Manzo who reportedly “had rented a house for the entire week.” Wonder how these stories keep getting to the press? The site proclaimed Jill and Caroline were new BFFs and that the two partied together throughout the weekend.

Danielle then took some time out of her very busy schedule to talk to the HollywoodLife about Jill and Caroline’s new budding friendship, even taking the time to warn Jill about Caroline.

“I guess congrats are in order?!” Danielle told HollywoodLife. “I want Jill to be happy and have good people surrounding her. Jill is amazing and has always been very kind to me and has reached out to me on several occassions in good and bad times … we’ve shared a lot.”

Teresa Giudice Sizzles In Tanning Ads, Objects To Public Auction, To Appear On The View On Monday

While the rest of the world awaits her upcoming August 22 public auction, it seems Teresa Giudice is on to the next money making project!

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, who might or might not be in talks to appear on the next season of Dancing With The Stars, is now doing ads for her local tanning salon, Sizzle Tans, which has branches in Totowa, East Hanover and Parsippany, N.J.

“She’s the face of our company,” says Sizzle Tans owner Rob Hornung to PEOPLE. “We’re running that commercial on 10 networks.” Hornung adds that they plan on “putting [Teresa's] face — and very tan body — on billboards around New Jersey.” The video of Teresa’s ad is below.

Teresa On The View Talk Show - It seems Teresa will be appearing ABC’s The View on Monday, all this according to Teresa of course. When a fan asked her to confirm her DWTS appearance, Teresa tweeted, “I can’t comment on it anymore but I will be on “The View” on Monday on ABC… ”

UPDATE: A quick look at The View’s official website does indeed confirm Teresa will be a guest on Monday. Will be interesting to see the ladies grill her what she has to say.

Teresa’s Auction Goes Global & New Objection – The Wall Street Journal is now reporting that due to the high amount of publicity and press Teresa and hubby Joe Giudice’s upcoming auction has generated, the auction will now be made global. Potential bidders will be able to register at Proxibid, a website that does as many as 800 auctions a month and reports bidders from 175 countries, to bid on Teresa’s home items.

Teresa and Juicy Joe have however formally objected to the auction, according to Mike Sklar, a partner with A.J. Willner (the company planning to hold the auction).

Teresa and Joe are now claiming some of the items scheduled for auction were purchased after the bankruptcy petition, and that other items belong to relatives. Yes folks, they are really claiming that. Sklar however makes it clear these types of objections are typical. The objection hearing is scheduled for August 16.

And get this, the WSJ also adds in their report that they were unable to reach the Giudices for a comment on the story “because their phone is disconnected.”

NJ Housewife Teresa Giudice & The Situation In Talks For Dancing With The Stars

While the new season of Dancing With The Stars doesn’t debut until September 20th, the casting rumors and speculations have already began.

Coming off its most popular season ever, it seems DWTS might be ready to take things up a notch with a Jersey cast invasion.

First TMZ confirmed yesterday that Jersey Shore breakout star The Situation is in secret negotiations to star on the upcoming season. According to TMZ, nothing’s official yet but sources close to the MTV reality star state the deadline for negotiations is Monday, so we should know by then whether or not he will be appearing on the show.

Which brings us to Teresa Giudice, star of the Real Housewives of New Jersey. The 37-year-old Bravo reality star, who might or might not be channeling a modern day cave woman in the above photo, made some interesting tweets yesterday.

“I am thinking about doing “Dancing with the Stars” though. What do you guys think? xx

Yes, I’m seriously thinking ab it as long as my kids come w me.

WOW, I did not expect the huge positive response from everyone about being on #DWTS ! Thank you! You’d all vote for me, right?

The costumes are definitely “me” right? Who should I make them give me as a partner? @MaksimC is the hottest, no? And he’s fiesty like me! #DWTS”

Those were the tweets made by Teresa on her twitter page. Oddly enough, no news outlet has confirmed that Teresa is indeed in talks to appear on the show.

However her appearance on the show is not far fetched considering she is one of the most popular Bravo housewives at the moment, albeit for all the wrong reasons, plus Kate Gosselin appeared on the show last season, leading to a noticeable increase in the show’s ratings. It would only make sense for ABC to want to cast someone similar to replace Kate, a reality star the public loves to hate aka Teresa Giudice. And while Teresa doesn’t have eight children, it can’t hurt that she has a plus 4.

And in case you’re wondering, the “stars” get paid to do the show, and Teresa would get a paycheck if she decided to do it. Kate Gosselin received a reported $500, 000 for her time on the show, though Teresa will likely not receive close to that amount. A DWTS rep also did not deny the casting rumors only telling Zap2it that casting is still ongoing in preparation for the new season.

Teresa, who is also likely trying to distract the public from her upcoming humiliating public auction, also took the time to take some shots at Danielle Staub and Bethennny Frankel.

When asked by a fan if she would be back for another season of RHONJ, Teresa replied: “Not sure. It’s not really fun filming with a felon… ” Interesting that Teresa and her hubby Joe are currently being accused of perjury.

And when it comes to Bethenny, and the claims that Teresa copied her by also having ‘Skinny’ in her book title, Teresa responded: “When “Skinny Italian” went to press, @Bethenny ‘s only book was called “Naturally Thin.” They’re both great books, but totally different…”

She then added, “PS- I love love LOVE @kimbarnouin & @Bethenny so no fake Twitter feuds… (even tho I’m sure B’s sad my book outsold hers in 1/2 the time).”

And those folks are the words of a woman who’s kids’ crib, beds, TVs, toys are about to be auctioned off in less than a month.

NJ Housewife Teresa Giudice Speaks Out On Bankruptcy Auction, Charitygate & Danielle

Shamed and bankrupt Bravo housewife Teresa Giudice is now speaking out on the upcoming August 22 auction, which intends to sell practically all majority of her home items, including her bed, furniture, TVs, and even her gas range, to recoup some money for her debtors. You know, the ones she owes $11 million.

In her latest Bravo blog, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star touches on a lot of different topics. Below are excerpts -

On having to file bankruptcy for her $11 mil debt – “As you know, Joe and I filed for bankruptcy protection back in October 2009 primarily because of real estate deals gone bad in a bad economy. We didn’t spend millions of dollars on gold toilets or private planes. We bought buildings, fixed them up, and tried to help other people start their own businesses or be able to afford an apartment. The economy crash trickled down to everyone. We worked so hard for so many years and it was heartbreaking to file, and not something we took lightly. Of course you can’t sit in your bed and just cry all day, so we moved forward, got new jobs, and are working hard once again. The point is to get a fresh start so you can move forward.”

On the upcoming Aug 22 auction to sell off her belongings – “But it’s not a fun or an easy process. If you’ve ever been unfortunate enough to be involved in a legal situation, you know it’s a lot of back and forth between both sides. Right now, our bankruptcy trustee is trying to get an auction going, and our lawyer is objecting it. Every day, there are new tactics used, stories circulated, and details “leaked” to the press, but it’s all part of the legal wrangling. All I can do is rise above it, keep my head high, and know that at the end of the day, I have my family, my health, and I’m in God’s hands. Nothing else matters, certainly not a lamp.”

On Charitygate (a story she demanded $3000 to attend a charity event) – “As for the story that I wanted money to appear at a charity event, completely false. I have never charged to appear at a charity event, nor do I accept anything for helping charities… I’ve never heard of the shelter that’s complaining about me, but they called the person who books me in clubs and he told them he doesn’t do charity, and to contact me directly. It’s very easy to get a hold of me at my website, and I do check every email. I can’t help every single charity that asks of course, but I do as I many as I can. I have no idea why this charity would try and bash me in the press, unless they were looking for press, which they obviously got. I did notice that Danielle was in attendance at this particular event…. Coincidence? Hmmm….”

On Danielle Staub and her daughters – “I also really liked seeing Christine’s Sweet 16 Party. She is a beautiful girl, but you can tell she’s counting down the days until she can leave that house. Poor Jillian has a little longer to wait. We finally got to meet their dad, and I think it’s obvious where they got their good looks from! Jillian singing was so sweet, but it nearly broke my heart that Danielle was pushing her so hard. Of course, Danielle turned everything back around to her. Typical. I thought it was creepy that she would wear her engagement ring just to make a statement to her ex-husband’s new wife. Sad.”

On writing new book – “I’m hard at work on my next book, a follow-up with Skinny Italian. It’s going to be fabulous! I can’t wait!”

Interesting that Teresa still found the time to discuss Danielle, but yet failed to address the outrage of her demanding diamonds for her 10th anniversary just weeks after filing bankruptcy. Even more interesting that Teresa states she and Joe did not waste their money on “gold toilets or private planes.” Guess their Faux marble Chess set, Jet boat, Pool table with Leather Pockets, and Suit of Armour statue were all necessities.

And now that Teresa’s 12,000 square foot mansion is about to be empty, wouldn’t it be smart for she and Joe to sell the home and buy something smaller for a “fresh start?” It however seems Teresa is more concerned with saving face than being financially responsible. Perhaps waking up to an empty mansion on August 23rd will help the delusional housewife realize the gig is up.

In other NJ news, Jacqueline Laurita had this interesting tweet regarding Danielle’s implication that Tom Staub is a bad father to her daughters. “Their Dad goes to EVERY track meet, dance recital,everything! He also gets them every weekend so I don’t get why she acts like he doesn’t on tv,” tweeted Jacqueline. Not surprised Danielle would try to paint someone else in a bad light to further her life long plight of being a victim.

And since we’re on the topic of Danielle Staub, she appeared in last week’s issue of Star magazine, telling the mag she loves being a villain. “Every show has to have a villain,” Danielle told Star. “It might as well be me!”

The 47-year-old sometime porn actress then goes on to add that her cast-mates need her to make RHONJ a success. Danielle stated, “They do, or the show would be like watching paint dry.” She does made a valid point there no?

The Real Housewives of New Jersey Recap: What Bankruptcy?

We are now onto the 12th episode of the Real Housewives of New Jersey, and while it wasn’t as good as next week’s episode will be, it was still very interesting to say the least.

There are two angles one can go with in doing this recap. One is we finally get to meet Tom Staub, the man behind the legend, you know the man who decided Danielle Staub was fit to be his wife and the mother of his children. The other angle is Teresa Giudice of course, who was one of the most searched people on the internet yesterday thanks to the news of the impending public auction of her home items, and her thirst for diamonds, you know considering this episode was taped just a few weeks after she signed off on the bankruptcy documents. Oh what the hey, I say let’s go with both angles!

The episode starts off with some precious family time with the Giudices as they do monopoly night. When Joe wasn’t busy threatening to kick one of his daughters, Teresa decides to bring up their upcoming 10th anniversary. Teresa can’t believe she and Joe have been married for 10 years because “it feels like 5.” Teresa asks the kids for anniversary gift ideas and one of their daughters suggests chocolate and flowers, but bankrupt Teresa makes it clear that’s not good enough. Joe has an even better suggestion, when he jokingly suggests the $100 luxury tax ring, before retracting it, joking saying that he couldn’t even afford that. Must say the financial jokes by Joe are very telling. Notice how they seemed to start just a few episodes ago? Teresa however makes it clear there will be no hanky panky for one month if Joe doesn’t come through, and I can’t help but wonder if Teresa can even go a week with no hanky panky from Jiucy Joe.

Danielle decides to meet up with her friend/party planner to plan a party for herself her daughter Christine‘s sweet 16. Danielle then lets us know she plans to make this a memorable party for herself Christine because she never had a birthday party “thrown to” her until she was 47-years-old. Really Danielle? Not even a party at 1? 10? 16? 18? 21? 30? 40? 45? Well since Danielle is not known to ever lie or exaggerate, I will go ahead and take her word for this.

Christine reveals her idea to donate all proceeds from her party to a charity and Dirty D decides this is a perfect moment to take credit for Christine’s idea because that’s her daughter and she gave birth to her. And I take a moment to ponder how Danielle’s daughters seem to have turned out amazing and well grounded in spite of their mother. Danielle asks Christine if she wants to invite her father and Christine answers yes. Danielle then lets us know that Tom hasn’t been the best father in the world to his daughters, and I can’t help but wonder if Danielle is being truthful about this, or just trying to paint her ex in a bad light out of vengeance, not that this is Danielle’s MO or anything.

Jacqueline and Caroline meet up and yet again Caroline is making perfect sense when she advises Jacqueline to distance herself from the three-faced Kim G. and focus on her daughter.

The Giudices and the Lauritas have a get together during which Joe, who looks rather stressed, ponders what to get his wife for their upcoming 10th anniversary. Joe mentions the 10-year gift has to be a “big one,” bankruptcy be damned. Teresa, who just signed off on bankruptcy papers to the debt of $11 mil a few weeks earlier, is then shown having a conversation with Jacqueline. “I love diamonds, diamonds and diamonds and diamonds,” says the bankrupt Teresa when asked what she wants for her anniversary by Jacqueline. And how genius are the show’s editors for choosing the oh so perfect background music for this ridiculous scene.

And it’s now that time of the show, when we get to see the hotness known as Albie Manzo. This time around, Albie is sporting a buzz cut, which might or might not be slightly taking away from his hotness, and we find out Albie has joined the police academy while waiting to get into a new law school. Must say it’s nice to see a Manzo with ambitions that go beyond the Brownstone.

Preview The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Plus More Teresa Giudice News

More drama on tonight’s episode of the Real Housewives of New Jersey, titled ‘Youth Will Be Served.’

Danielle Staub’s youngest daughter Jillian prepares for her big break to be debuted at her sister, Christine Staub’s Sweet 16 birthday party. But when she expresses a few insecurities, Danielle encourages her daughters to put themselves out there…whether it’s performing a song or pursuing a career in modeling; does she push her daughters too hard or is she being a supportive mom? It also seems Jillian and Christine’s father aka Danielle’s ex-husband, Thomas Staub, will make an appearance on the show tonight.

Also celebrating a big occasion, Teresa and Joe look forward to their 10th wedding anniversary. With all of the rumored money issues that the Giudice’s are experiencing, will Teresa get the diamonds she’s been hoping for or will the celebration be a letdown? Find out tonight at 10/9c on Bravo.

In other news, another day, another new unflattering story about Teresa Giudice. The NYPost is reporting today that the broke Real Housewives of NJ star, who’s home items will be getting auctioned off next month, demanded $3,000 to appear at a charity event for abused women.

The Post reports a manager for Teresa said she would only appear at the July 19 New Jersey fund-raiser for Strengthen Our Sisters if she was paid. The event organizer told the Post, “Mike Esterman, who books her appearances, said . . . she would not show up unless she got paid. I explained this was for a shelter for women and children. He said it doesn’t matter…Danielle Staub, her daughters, and Lori Michaels came for free.”

Esterman however attempts to defend his client Teresa telling the Post, “I made it clear I only handle her paid appearances, and the fee is $3,000 and a car service. I said charity events have to be agreed by Teresa personally, and they should reach out to her directly.”

In other Teresa news, a new scandal is brewing in the form of Pizzagate. It all stems from Teresa’s comments during the last episode of the NJ Housewives during which she mentioned that she buys frozen dough to make her pizzas.

The only problem? It just so happens that Teresa has a dough recipe in her cookbook Skinny Italian, for what she calls the “best crust in the world!” This is leading some of Teresa’s fans to question the honesty and integrity of her book.
