Well thanks to RadarOnline and People magazine today, we can now report a physical fight occurs between the bankrupt Teresa Giudice and former prostitution whore Danielle Staub.
RadarOnline reports things got so heated between the two ladies, to the point that producers had to step in to separate them. “A fight broke out between Danielle and Teresa. It got so crazy that the producers had to get involved and break it up,” says a source.
“It got a little crazy,” another source adds. “Did anyone walk away with a black eye, no… But it definitely got to the point where I think everyone was more than holding on to their seats or being held back.”
PEOPLE magazine adds that at one point host Andy Cohen and Caroline Manzo had to intervene as Teresa got up out of her chair and started for Danielle, who was sitting across the room.
Andy Cohen calls this the best reunion show ever, adding that “you won’t believe how it starts and you won’t believe how it ends.”
Part one of the reunion airs Aug. 30 on Bravo, with part two airing on Sept. 6. Another photo from the reunion is below -
Teresa herself A friend of Teresa’s tells Popeater “if she wasn’t on the show, this all would be much easier.” Perhaps someone can inform Teresa being on a reality show that focuses on the lives of the wealthy isn’t mandatory by law.
Teresa’s “friend” adds, “Everything would be settled by now, but because she is now famous everyone is using the situation to get press for themselves and humiliate her and her family. It’s honestly got to the point where she’s not sure if she wants to come back for another season.”
Perhaps someone else can inform Teresa no one would have known about her gross $60,000 spending spree had she not had her lawyers file an objection to the upcoming public auction. Plus Teresa and hubby Joe might want to look into firing their lawyer for allowing them to further humiliate themselves by going public with the spending spree information.
“Teresa is sick of everyone knowing all her private financial business,” the insider adds. “She didn’t sign up to be on ‘Housewives’ so that everyone could look into her bank account. Millions of couples go through what they are going through, except no one knows about it. It’s just not fair.” Right, because millions of couples live in McMansions they can’t afford, and go on $60,000 spending sprees days after filing bankruptcy.
As previously reported, Rob Shuter, who wrote this article for Popeater, has relationships with most of the Real Housewives of NJ stars, so this info is likely coming from Teresa herself or one of her co-stars. No words for this new defense/excuse of Teresa’s.
In other NJ news, it is being reported by several websites that Danielle Staub can thank her co-stars for being fired by Bravo. Apparently the other New Jersey housewives gave Bravo an ultimatum to fire Danielle or risk losing them return for another season.
The good folks at Bravo Gossip published the blind item below via Blind Gossip.
“There are the usual vague press releases when someone gets fired, and then there’s the naked truth, which in this case, is much more interesting. This TV series cast member brought exactly the kind of drama to the series that producers dream about. Not surprisingly, it resulted in great ratings for this show. However, the rest of the cast members gave the producers an ultimatum: Either she goes or we ALL say arrivederci. Faced with the prospect of recasting the entire show, they reluctantly released their star. By the way, now that she is gone, an old cast member is seriously considering a return to the show.”
Seems very plausible.
TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON TERESA BLAMING BRAVO? IF THE BI IS TRUE, SHOULD BRAVO HAVE CAVED IN TO THE OTHER HOUSEWIVES?
It all went down a week after the reunion show taping. Bravo reportedly sent Caroline, Teresa and Jacqueline letters asking them to return for a third season. The insider adds that Danielle did not receive a letter and, was not even aware that her co-stars had.
A source also adds that Danielle was unaware she was off the show until she read it online on Monday. As for Danielle’s cryptic non-denial message on Monday, the source says she’s not that upset because she might be getting her own solo reality show. She is said to be “working with production companies who are really interested and have talked to Bravo.”
And as for the gruesome twosome aka the two Kims, they weren’t asked back as well. The source stays this season was a bit of an audition for Kim Granatell and Kim DePaola, adding that they might be asked to make guest appearances next season.
The NYDailyNews doesn’t touch on whether or not Dina Manzo was asked back. Dina left during this season because she no longer wanted to film with Danielle. Dina however posted an interesting tweet this week regarding the Danielle story – “yes, I’ve heard the news, don’t know if it’s true. Rumor has it I may not be invited if I don’t put my daughter back on air. Can u believe?”
Perhaps someone should inform Dina the show is about the women and their families. Without a husband or daughter on the show, she really isn’t bringing much to the table.
TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE LATEST NEWS? DO YOU WANT KIM G ON THE SHOW? DO YOU WANT DINA BACK?
The Hills are alive with the Giudice indeed. Airing last night was Episode 15 of the Real Housewives of New Jersey, which might or might not have been one of the more boring episodes this season.
What did we learn last night? Well for one, ‘Ethninticity’ is a word according to Danielle Staub, Caroline Manzo finds it cute and adorable when Joe Giudice decides to throw a temper tantrum and go on a cursing rampage around kids, and Jacqueline Laurita really really cares about “old people.”
The episode starts out with the families as they get ready to dock in Naples. We immediately see a very cranky Joe and Teresa tries to convince us the source of this is that Joe doesn’t like being away from his business for a week. They all get on the bus, and Caroline tells us she’s annoyed by the Giudice children. Teresa however makes it clear she is not responsible for Caroline’s funky mood.
Danielle and her eyebrows attempt a heart to heart with her daughters, as she wants to discuss her birth mother. But before getting to the main topic, Danielle takes us down a trip on victims’ memory lane, rehashing Kim G’s betrayal and Teresa’s big mouth. And at the end of this convo, I’m still uncertain what the point of Danielle’s sit down with her daughters was. This just seems like an opportunity for Danielle to share her woe-is-me-Kim G-betrayed-me sob story. We do find out Danielle’s mother had her at age 15, but something tells me her daughters already knew that.
The families go out to dinner and we see the men eating “like they were going to jail.” Joe mentions they might have to hike it when visiting his family the next day. Jacqueline is immediately concerned as she realizes babies and old people do not know how to hike. Teresa however assures us in her interview that all will be well as Italy also has babies and old people, who hike everyday.
Danielle‘s favorite ex-con Danny decides to pay her a visit and informs her the others are gone to Italy. Danielle, who has had to suffer the last couple of weeks/months without a panini, is happy as she can now drive over to the market in Franklin Lakes without having to fear for her life. Danny randomly and oddly brings up Ashley, stating he has met some of her friends who have offered to help him. Help with what exactly? We’re not told. Danielle immediately goes on an Ashley bashing rampage. “She doesn’t have friends, she’s got terroristic tendencies,” said former prostitution whore/kidnapper Danielle.
Danny decides he needs to keep tabs on the then teenage Ashley, and Danielle encourages this because Ashley’s “got a special kind of crazy,” says the nutty pot.
We are now back in Italy and as the families get ready to leave for Joe’s hometown, the cursing resumes as the cranky and bankrupt Joe complains about the prices of things. Perhaps someone should inform Joe luxurious trips to Italy don’t come cheap. But then again Joe isn’t quite used to taking responsibility for his debts.
And at this point, I wonder just how much Bravo is shelling out for this fancy trip. As I said earlier, Bravo typically foots the bill for the ladies from the Housewives franchise to take a trip each season. My guess is Bravo was not willing to cover the expenses for the kids, grand parents and other family members involved in this trip, which would explain Joe’s outbursts. Which would then also mean the bankrupt and suppose to be broke Giudices continued to live beyond their means by bringing their whole family to Italy. What I wouldn’t do to know the amount of debt the Giudices have racked up since filing for bankruptcy back in October.
Not that you needed any more reasons for your disgust dislike of Teresa Giudice, but we’re about to give you 60,000 more.
The NYPost is reporting today that the Real Housewives of New Jersey star celebrated being debt free by going on a $60,000 spending spree, after filing for bankruptcy to the tune of $11 million in debt back in October, 2009.
The shocker hasn’t even come yet. According to the Post, Teresa and hubby Joe Giudice blew $8,800 for curtains and nearly $45,000 on wall hangings, mirrors, frames, tables, urns and chairs, just days after filing bankruptcy. Just days folks…. Unbelievable.
This little tidbit came out yesterday as the morons Giudices had their attorney James Kridel file a court document with receipts that detailed the irresponsible spending, as a way to show the court that some of their auction items were purchased after their filing. The Post reports even Kridel seemed at a loss for words when trying to explain the asinine spending to Judge Morris Stern, saying he knew the documents presented “a dilemma” and that the Judge might view it as “conspicuous consumption.” Ya think?
“These were not Ikea-purchased furniture items,” Judge Stern said. “These were from high-end design stores.”
As we reported yesterday, the judge refused to stop the public auction of the Giudices home items, but postponed it to Oct. 3. Bankruptcy trustee John Sywilok, who has accused the Giudices of concealing assets, was also present during the hearing and stated that right before their bankruptcy filing, the Giudices purchased $21,000 worth of furniture and paid off a total of $11,000 of that amount just two days before filing.
And there’s more folks! While Teresa refused to comment on her irresponsible wasteful disgusting spending spree, hubby Joe, who is said to have been sweating profusely, got a little testy at the reporters. “None of your business! Back off before I get pissed!” stated an angry Joe outside of the courtroom.
And somewhere in America, an average couple is holding multiple jobs to keep a roof over their heads, feed their kids, and pay off their debt, while the Giudices get to remain debt free and live in their $5 mil mansion! Surely this has to be criminal…
UPDATE: Teresa’s lawyer James Kridel tries to explain the unbelievable spending spree she went on just days after filing bankruptcy.“That was the money she earned as an advance for her book Skinny Italian,” her attorney tells PEOPLE. “Since she earned it after the filing, she was absolutely free to spend it.”
It doesn’t end there. Kridel then tries to explain why Teresa needed to buy $60,000 worth of furniture while also acknowledging just how incredibly awful and disgusting this makes his client look. “She needed to re-buy furniture because she didn’t have any furniture in the house,” says Kridel. “It’s a big house and she wanted furniture consistent with her style on the show. There is nothing wrong with doing that, except that it doesn’t look good for her to be doing it.” No Kridel, it doesn’t, not by a long shot.
Must say it’s quite interesting that Teresa managed to receive her book advance just a few days after filing bankruptcy.
TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS LATEST DEVELOPMENT? ARE YOU OUTRAGED?
As the housewives continue their overseas vacation, some of the ladies have trouble hiding their foul moods. Will Teresa’s rambunctious young ones ruin the trip for the other families or will Teresa be able to control the girls? Meanwhile, back in Franklin Lakes Danielle enjoys the freedom of knowing the other women are out of the country. Heading out to lunch with Danny, Danielle opens up about her fears of being ambushed by the other housewives. Will Danielle have to run for cover once the ladies return or will there ever be Housewife a truce? Find out tonight at 10/9c on Bravo.
On to the big news of the day. The Star-Ledger is reporting that Teresa Giudice and hubby Joe Giudice have been able to get a postponement on their scheduled Aug 22 auction.
The auction for the couple, pictured above during their court appearance this morning, has now been set for October 3. According to the Ledger, the Giudices appeared in Newark this morning before U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Morris, who stated he would allow the postponement of the auction to allow for a review of which items can be sold. The judge however made it clear this is not to cancel the auction.
The Star-Ledger reports the Giudices objected to the sales of a number of items in the auction, including children’s toys, beds and antique accessories. They reportedly feared that some used personal property would fetch far less than it would cost to replace it.
The Judge agreed that their children’s items should be removed from the auction list, and has appointed a court-appointed trustee and auction agent to meet with the Giudices and go through every item to decide what items will be put up for sale and which will remain exempt.
Guess those of us interested in that nice gas range will have to wait a few more weeks.
The magazine doesn’t give a reason for the firing as an insider tells the mag, “Danielle was told that she would not be returning for a third season.” Adding that Danielle finding out she was fired “came as a complete shock, and she thought she was definitely going to return to the successful Bravo series.”
This might be the reason Danielle mentioned she was working on a reality show for herself a week ago. The timing of this also makes sense as the 3rd season of the NJ Housewives will likely start filming any day now.
Bravo did not have a comment for this news, telling Life&Style, “Bravo does not comment on casting of upcoming seasons of Housewives while current seasons are still airing.” Danielle’s booking agent also had “no comment” on Danielle’s status on the show though Danielle was likely the one who leaked this story.
Could this have to do with the lawsuit Danielle planned against her castmates? Or the threats from her co-stars that they would not return if Danielle did? Perhaps something happened during the reunion taping. We will be bringing you more updates as soon as they become available. (Thanks to our reader I’mJustSaying for this link).
UPDATE – Wanted to add that Life&Style has always proven to be a very reputable source when it comes to Housewives news.
UPDATE #2 – HollywoodLife is now reporting that a source close to Danielle says the firing report is just a rumor. “Danielle has no clue if she’s signed on for season three, none of the girls do,” says the source, adding that “there aren’t any firm negotiations going on until mid-September.” Based on track records, I am more inclined to believe the Life&Style story.
UPDATE #3 – Danielle is speaking out on the firing rumors in a statement posted on her twitter page. She doesn’t confirm or deny the firing, only giving out a cryptic message.
“Actually, I’m not even thinking about season 3 right now as I am considering many incredible options that have been presented to me,” said Staub. “Right now I just want to let fans know that we have a fantastic finale coming up next week and explosive reunion shows on August 30 and September 6. Don’t worry next year, I’ll still be the one you either love to hate or hate to love.”
And the plot thickens…
UPDATE #4 - PEOPLE magazine, arguable the most reputable entertainment outlet around, says they have learned Danielle “is likely leaving the show after the end of Season 2 and is not expected to participate in a third season.”
UPDATE #5 – RadarOnline is also giving details of Danielle’s proposed spin off show which a source tells them is being produced by Sirens Media, the same company behind the Real Housewives of NJ.
“A spin off is in the works,” a source told Radar. The deal is still in talks while a source says it will “loosely reflect the character she started on the Real Housewives and the future of her career, her high-profile life, her kids, her being a ‘mom-ager.’ But she also has a normal life with her assistant and the whole team surrounding her.”
So it seems Bravo might be firing Danielle to make way for a spin off show for her a la Bethenny Frankel.
TELL US – WILL THE SHOW SUFFER WITHOUT DANIELLE? WILL YOU CONTINUE TO WATCH?
According to RadarOnline, court documents show the A. Atkins Appraisal Corporation predicted the forced sale value of Teresa and hubby Joe Giudice’s home items to total only $51,160. A very tiny amount compared to her massive debt of $11 million.
The amount is even more surprising considering pretty much everything Teresa owns is being auctioned off, including her bedroom set, refrigerators, gas range, televisions, furniture, a boat, and even the toys belonging to her kids.
The Giudices, who are being accused of perjury for allegedly failing to disclose some of their assets, also had their wedding bands appraised to the amount of $150 for Teresa’s 14 kt. yellow gold band, and $240 for Joe’s 14 kt. white gold wedding band.
Evidently, the Giudices want the world to believe that while they squandered millions of dollars, and racked up $11 million in debt living beyond their means, they somehow forgot to upgrade their wedding bands. It’s a wonder these two geniuses are being accused of concealing assets.
Despite having their lawyer file an objection, the auction is still set for August 22.
