It’s no secret that Caroline Stanbury isn’t a fan of Julie Montagu and her persistent Lady of The Manor chase this season on Ladies Of London. But Julie doesn’t chalk Caroline’s feelings up to jealousy over her title – she just thinks they’re opposites with “big personalities.” If by “big,” she means that Caroline is an F5 tornado and she’s a slight mist on the horizon after a summer sprinkling of rain…then, okay! I’ll bite.
Julie also thinks Caroline’s issue with her lies at the very heart of Mapperton – an estate that Julie and her husband Luke are poised to be saddled with for life take on. Caroline, having grown up on stuffy estates like Mapperton, has repeatedly bemoaned that she wants nothing to do with that sort of lifestyle or its aristocratic chains anymore. “Caroline and I, I think we’re both big personalities, and I believe we’re totally opposite in every way. She’s basically rebelling against what I’m just about to take on,” says Julie.
I am a sucker for all things Jennifer Lopez, so I’m interested to see how her new dance reality show ends up being. At the same time, there are a shit ton of dance-focused reality shows on television so I don’t know who’s asking for another one. Nevertheless, I trust JLoand I’ll give World of Dance a chance, especially since Jennifer revealed that Jenna Dewan Tatum, Derek Hough, and Ne-Yo will also be a part of the project.
I assume Jennifer will reveal more as the premiere date becomes closer, but the fact that she got some seriously respected dancers on board should be a good sign that this show will actually be worth watching. Or at least I hope so.
Eden provides some backstory on her Pilates business: “After having two kids and a marriage that was falling apart, Pilates became my escape from reality. But, the reality was that I had stopped taking care of my mind, body and soul. Being the man that he was, my dad questioned what he saw falling apart and breaking his heart at the same time. He simply asked me, ‘What are you going to do with your life?’ I took that question to heart…and to therapy. Then I opened my first of two Pilates studios six months later. I wanted and needed to pay it forward to other women going through the same issues. Watch out world, here I come! #GameOn”
The extremely touchy and personal topic of deceased parents came up repeatedly on this week’s Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills, and it was not at ALL appreciated by Eileen Davidson and Lisa Rinna, both of whom sadly lost a parent this past year. In her blog, Eileen takes issue with PK and Dorit Kemsley judging her about when, where, and how she revealed the news of her late mother’s passing.
Eileen clarifies, “I lost my mother in March. This was months after all the issues with Lisa [Vanderpump] happened. The next day, I worked Y&R. I chose not to tell anyone there because that was the only way I could do my job. It was pure survival. I had to make the same decision for the reunion. We all had a lot of issues that needed to be talked through. I knew it would rob everyone of their ability to be honest with me if they were all walking on eggshells.”
After Lisa Rinna left PK and Dorit Kemsley’s dinner party, she felt like she had been served up for dinner to the assorted very strange guests assembled ’round the table. The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills self-proclaimed “hustler” couldn’t quite hustle her way out of an awkward conversation with the Kemsleys about their good friend, Lisa Vanderpump. And it was all made more strained by PK’s insistence that Lisa (and Eileen Davidson) were influenced by their parents’ deaths last year in their actions toward Lisa V. Not so, say both women.
Lisa comments in her blog this week on the impropriety and downright oddball nature of the dinner party conversation. “I thought it was kind of Dorit to invite me to her dinner party once she knew I was alone, and I graciously accepted, wanting to get to know both Dorit and PK better. However, if I didn’t know better, I could have sworn that instead of being invited to a dinner party, I was actually at a BBQ, and I was the one being grilled!”
In her blog this week, Kandi vehemently denies Phaedra’s claims, blaming the rumors on Phaedra’s desperation to strike back. Kandi says, “I was cracking up! First of all, what Phaedra said was some bullsh–, but what she did was just an example of what I was talking about. She’s been doing shady things and saying shady things behind my back for years now. That is why I really don’t mess with her like that.”
It may be Sophie Stanbury’s first season as a full-time cast member on Ladies Of London, but she’s certainly come out of the gate swinging – though not at the target some might have expected. Former sister in law and friend, Caroline Stanbury, is in her crosshairs this season, and their relationship continues to be contentious post-filming, it seems.
But wait! Sophie recently spilled the news that her sons are visiting Dubai, where Caroline’s family relocated this year. So…are fences being mended after all? According to Sophie, not exactly.
