Jenni “JWoww” Farley has come a long way since her days boozing and fist bumping on Jersey Shore. The now-married mother of two says she’s a totally different person who’s in bed by 10PM, and her only connection to her former life? Her enduring friendship (and continued reality TV career) with Snooki and other co-stars.
Since tying the knot with Roger Matthews and getting involved in home renovations and flipping, the reformed JWoww has found “tranquility.” The family spends much of their time at their Maine lake house. Jenni explains that she goes there to “find peace without cell phones or internet” and teach her children to “value taking a step back and be one with nature.”
How is Snooki not a Real Housewife of New Jersey yet? It would make so much sense. She would bring some much-needed entertainment value to the show. Plus, she’s already friends with Melissa Gorga. Unfortunately, I have no say in the casting process of this show, but I did get a sneak peak of how great this idea is when Nicole and Melissa both posted photos hanging with each other’s families at the beach.
Nicole Polizzi would be adorable and hilarious as a housewife – at least in my opinion. And I feel like she would get Melissa into some fun/funny situations outside of feuding with Kim D over their rival clothing stores. Unfortunately, the upcoming RHONJ season has already been filmed and my girl Snooki is not a part of the cast, but just think about what could have been: an iconic reality TV crossover opportunity.
It’s hard not to love anything that Nicole Polizzi does. Not only was she everyone’s favorite cast member on Jersey Shore, but she grew up, got her shit together, and somehow never became boring in the process.
As much as I love her, I never expected “Snooki” to parlay her Jersey Shore fame for as long as she has. My favorite thing about it is that Nicole seems to have a really great idea of who she is and doesn’t take herself too seriously. If anyone is in on the joke, it’s her. She made this clear with her latest project.
They say you can’t go home again, and I would think that adage would certainly ring true for those crazy orange guidettes and gorilla juice heads who entertained us on the Jersey Shore. Gracious, I miss them (well, most of them).
Of course, it won’t shock anyone to learn that I was mistaken. You can go home again if you’re Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Jenni “J-Woww” Farley, and your one-time home is a wood-paneled wonderland complete with a duck phone and astroturf patio that smells of Sunday dinners, regret, and Axe body spray.
Apparently Bravo is filming a new show in Montauk, New York and it is angering the local residents. They don’t want the show to exploit their community and take off and ironically their protests are giving it even more attention before it has even began airing.
The new show is called Summer House and it is set to follow a group of friends who spend their summer weekends at a house in Montauk which was described as “one of the most exclusive beach areas on the East Coast.” Why are the locals so peeved about the new show? It has a lot to do with a successful reality show from the past.
I know I say it all the time, but I truly, truly mean it–I love those crazy kids from Jersey Shore. Perhaps when I was first watching it, my obsession (like most everyone’s I assume) stemmed from watching a drunken, orange, fist-pumping train wreck. Of course, the longer I tuned in to see their shenanigans, the more I realized I wanted to be included in those elaborate Sunday dinners with a fun (albeit crazy) group of actual friends.
To me, the most amazing part of the guidos and guidettes’ relationship is that they didn’t know each other before the show started, and the series turned them into genuine friends…it’s usually the exact opposite when you think of a reality cast, right? The show ended in 2012, and while the cast has gone on to new endeavors, they are often found supporting each other (well, most of them anyway). Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Jenni “J-Woww” Farley became quick besties during the six seasons of Jersey Shore and have gone on to share the joys of motherhood and marriage, not to mention spin-offs! Now Snooki, a mother of two, is celebrating her friend who is expecting baby number two with new husband Roger Mathews.
If you had told me back in 2010 that a post-Jersey Shore Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi would appear on additional reality shows, my money would have been on Celebrity Rehab or some other franchise that reeks of Dr. Drew. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the fist pumping, cahhb cahhlling, Sunday dinner eating, GTL-ing, DTF-ing, Shore Store employees probably more than the average fan, but I didn’t really predict any sort of staying power. Of course, we all know I’m an idiot.
Not only has most of the cast matured and done very well for themselves, Snooki went on to star in a reality spin-off with bestie Jenni “J-Woww” Farley(with another one on the way!). She got married to Jionni LaValle, and the couple has two ridiculously precious children. While she still has a penchant for all things animal print, those giant sneaker slippers (I’m hoping) are a thing of the past. That’s right, guys, our little meatball is all grown up, and she’s embarking on a new reality endeavor for the FYI network. I think this is what is known as “adulting.”
Remember when Nicole (Snooki) Polizzi and Jenni (JWoww) Farley were just two single gals living the Jersey Shore dream? Long gone are the days of Smush Rooms and hot tub debauchery. These days, Snooki and JWoww are more likely to be found running after their young children with their husbands, Jionni LaValle and Roger Matthews. Mother to Lorenzo and Giovanna, Snooki finds herself getting her inner Martha Stewart on as she navigates the world of DIY kids’ birthday parties and family crafts. Meanwhile JWoww is busy raising daughter Meilani while she and hubby Roger await the birth of their baby boy this spring! Reality Tea, along with a handful of other media outlets, recently got a chance to sit down with the BFFs to chat about their new filter-free show “Snooki & JWOWW: Moms with Attitude,” on millennial mom-focused network Awestruck. As always, the ladies kept it real!
If you could deliver one message to your fans, what would it be?
Jenni: “My message is for all the millennial moms out there. I’m just all about standing your ground on what really matters to your children. I know in the last few years it’s been really hard for women because they get torn in so many directions or they get judged for how they raise their children – whether they’re pro-vaccine, anti-vaccine, pro-this, anti-that. I’m all for self confidence and standing your ground and what you truly believe in.”
Nicole: “Agreed. Also, we want to keep the realness on our show of who we are…we just want to be 100% real when it comes to who we are and our parenting, and being moms. But not being regular moms – we’re the cool moms! Just like, you know, Mean Girls. So, we’re good parents, but at the same time, we still make time for ourselves when we can. I think what makes you a great mom is you obviously dedicate all of your time to your kids, but you also need to make time for yourself.”
