On last night’s episode of the Bachelorette, Bentley showed no mercy in repeatedly bashing the poor Ashley Hebert behind her back. Oddly enough, Ashley revealed on the show’s season premiere that a former cast member had warned her Bentley was only there for the cameras, but of course she still decided to give him a shot.
Bentley, a 28-year-old single dad, started the nastiness last week when he revealed he had hoped Emily Maynard would be the Bachelorette. He then added that Ashley wasn’t his type. I’m sure Emily’s flattered.
And last night in Las Vegas, he had more ugly comments about Ashley. “She has a great body, amazing butt, rocking legs,” said Bentley. “The competition makes it exciting… and that’s the extent in terms of my interest. You know, I mean, she’s just not my type.” We heard you the first time jerk-off.
It got even worse as Bentley then decided to play mind games with Ashley during their one on one time, threatening to leave the show to go be with his daughter. Ashley unfortunately begged him to stay. “If you feel something for me, please stay, because I feel something for you,” begged Ashley. “If you feel something for me, please, please, please stick around. Please, please, please.”
Bentley had some more choice words after getting a rose on his group date. “It comes down to the fact that I get competitive about every thing,” he said. “I’d rather be swimming in pee than planning a wedding with her.” Wowzers.
This morning, poor Ashley is now speaking out on Bentley’s words and actions. Below is the excerpt from Ashley’s latest blog with PEOPLE –
“In closing, I want to say that I learn so much about these men from watching the episodes – the good, the bad and the ugly. The most important thing I told myself from the start was that I would always be open with the way I feel, even if there was the potential to be hurt. I said that I wouldn’t want to look back with regrets. Even as I cringe through some of the things that Bentley said throughout filming, I wouldn’t change the way I was, because in that moment it was the way I felt. Everyone is responsible for their own honesty and accountability – and if he wasn’t willing to give me at least that, he is in the wrong. No regrets!”
And it seems next week, we will get more ugliness from Bentley. Here’s to hoping Ashley sees the light sooner than later.
TELL US – THOUGHTS ON BENTLEY AND LAST NIGHT’S EPISODE? IS HE THE WORST BACHELOR VILLAIN EVER?
The 27-year-old dental student is back and ready to find love again after being dumped by Brad Womackon the last season of the Bachelor. Ashley should have no problem picking up the pieces with over 25 suitors vying for her love!
On the debut episode tonight, Ashley opens up to host Chris Harrison about her insecurities when she reveals her fear that the men will be disappointed when they learn she is the Bachelorette. Ashley also reveals she is already familiar with one of the contestants – Bentley Williams – whom a former “Bachelor” cast member has warned her is there for the wrong reasons.
And now that filming is complete, the important question is did Ashley find love? “All those questions are things you’ll have to tune in to find out,” was Ashley’s coy reply during a conference call with the press last week. “I will say I’m happy with the way things turned out with me, but you’ll have to tune in and see the rollercoaster,” she added.
Ashley also reveals the entire process was more difficult than she expected. “Going into it, I knew I would have a whole other set of hard times but I didn’t expect it to be as difficult as it was. I definitely learned a lot about myself. I guess I prefer to be on this side but it was not easy at times, that’s for sure,” she said.
As for her ex Brad, Ashley makes it clear she has definitely moved on from him. “I think Brad is a great guy but we both needed different things in our life,” said Ashley. She continued, “And especially after meeting all these men, I realized how Brad wasn’t the best fit for me and I wasn’t the best fit for Brad.”

UPDATE – A preview commercial for the new season is below.
According to PEOPLE, both Ali and her fiance Roberto Martinez (yes they are still shockingly together) were both involved in the mishap. “Ali and Roberto had a little mishap when their kayak capsized this weekend,” her rep confirms. “Ali was taken to the hospital and had five staples put in her head.”
Meanwhile, Ali tweeted about the accident. “Made it out of the ER w/staples in my head & a little less hair after falling out of a kayak. Scary stuff. Wearing a helmet next time,” she wrote later adding that she was more concerned with her mane “I think I freaked out more when the doctor cut my hair rather than when he put staples into my head. Lol. Very thankful to be ok.”
As for Roberto, he is fine with Ali’s rep crediting him for keeping “her calm” and taking “great care of her.” Ali is said to be “doing fine” as well.
PEOPLE also adds that Ali is currently planning her wedding to Roberto. The two have been together for close to a year, equivalent to about a decade in Bachelor years.
And speaking of theBachelor, weeks after it was reported that Brad Womackwas house hunting in Texas and wanted his fiance Emily Maynard to move in with him, a new report is now stating the two have broken up again and this time for good.
According to the Rumorfix, Brad and Emily are done and the break-up occurred early last week. The reason for the break-up? “Emily couldn’t put up with his little temper and all the fighting,” says a source. Brad’s ex-girlfriend Laurel Kagay had accused him of having a volatile temper and repeatedly breaking up with her only to get back together days later.
“They always were pretty on-again-off-again, but this time it’s a done deal,” the insider says. Adding more fuel to the fire is the fact that the couple hasn’t been photographed together since March 27.
The Bachelor producers are reportedly aware of the split and are now trying to come up with a plan for damage control. We’re guessing a ratings bonanza via a break-up sit down special with the two is in the works.
TELL US – THOUGHTS ON ALI’S KAYAK ACCIDENT AND THE BRAD & EMILY BREAK-UP STORY?
Following weeks of drama both on and off the show, it all ends tonight as Brad Womack will pick and propose to one of his final two women on the Bachelor.
The two lucky ladies areChantal O’Brien, 28, – the sassy divorcee who slapped Brad on the first night, andEmily Maynard, 24, – the single mother of one.
“When you know [you’re in love], you just know. And I just knew,” Brad, 38, told UsWeekly of his final pick. “I’m grateful to have a second chance…I can promise you there is a very happy ending.” The latest issue of UsWeekly also sheds some light on the proposal details, revealing that Brad ended up proposing to his final pick a total of 4 times! Apparently, “the crew wanted different camera angles,” explained an onlooker.
Meanwhile, Bachelor insider Reality Steve posted a surprising report yesterday, revealing that there is already some trouble in paradise for Brad and his final pick. In fact, the two have reportedly broken up and gotten back together once since the show stopped filming months ago.
According to RS, Brad and his “fiance” make that shocking revelation on tonight’s After The Final Rose on ABC. RS also reveals that unlike the previous Bachelor(ette) couples who appear very lovey-dovey on the ATFR tapings, Brad and his final pick appeared very tense on stage. Wowzers.
And finally, the new Bachelorette will officially be announced tonight on the Jimmy Kimmel Show. According to reports, that job went to Ashley Hebertbecause Brad’s runner up turned it down. The reason? She is already in a new relationship.
