We still have no clue if we’ll ever see Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of The Bachelorette, but in the meantime, it looks like she’s reconnecting with Doug Mason, the guy who allegedly won the show. Rumor has it that they’re reconnecting in real life and trying to give their romance a second chance, so maybe love will find a way after all?
Taylor and Doug are dating amid her numerous issues
As you know, Taylor’s last couple of months have been a little chaotic, to say the least. Multiple domestic violence allegations from her ex, Dakota Mortensen, derailed her reality TV career. It’s still unclear if and when she will recover from the explosive headlines. However, the police have declined to press any new charges against her.
In the meantime, insiders told Us Weekly that the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star is spending time with the guy who stole her heart on The Bachelorette Season 22. Allegedly, they’re “seeing each other” again and “trying to make it work.”
“They were hanging out recently and want to see if they can get back together and be a couple,” the insider claimed.
Throughout this messy saga, Doug has been supportive of Taylor, so this kind of tracks. When ABC announced that they were shelving Season 22 of The Bachelorette, Doug immediately took to Instagram with an encouraging note for Taylor.
“In light of everything that has happened, I am just sending prayers to Taylor because that was her moment, and her moment was blocked. All we can do right now is just be hopeful,” he said at the time.
Apparently, that hope has brought Doug back to Taylor. The headlines about her physical altercations with Dakota have not deterred him.
Of course, this news might hit differently if we had actually seen their romance play out in Season 22. The chances of that ever happening are still pretty slim. The last we heard, it’s all still up in the air.
