Maybe future presidential candidate Donald Trump has spent the past few weeks sharing his opinions on both his politics as well as President Obama, but the question today is has the Donald gone too far?

Gone too far as in is he now hurting NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice? Oddly enough, many critics feel Donald’s recent publicity tour is actually a stunt to increase ratings for his show. But that now seems to be backfiring as not only are some viewers threatening to boycott the show due to Trump’s political statements, but Groupon announced Thursday that it had decided to pull all future ads from the Celebrity Apprentice website at the urging of its customers.

After an online petition was launched last week urging a boycott of companies that advertised with the show, Groupon, which doesn’t advertise on the TV show but rather on the NBC.com website, stated that they would not place ads on the show’s website in the future so as to “[avoid] intentionally upsetting a segment of our customers.”

“Enough consumers have contacted us to warrant ensuring that we don’t place ads on the Apprentice homepage in the future. It’s the same reason we don’t run deals on guns or abortion… this isn’t a political statement, it’s avoiding intentionally upsetting a segment of our customers,” said Groupon via a statement on their website.

And according to NewsOne, a news service for the African American community, other advertisers are starting to pressure NBC to either control Trump or risk losing their sponsorship on the Celebrity Apprentice.

Meanwhile, the big question still remains – Is Trump actually going to run for president? “I am thinking of saying on live finale of The Apprentice finale on May 22 that in a few days I will be making an announcement about my decision,” Trump told the New York Times last month, claiming that the decision is a “tough” one because Celebrity Apprentice has been performing well in ratings. The decision is apparently tough because if Trump decides to run for president, he will no longer do the Apprentice.

Moving on to tonight’s all new episode of Celebrity Apprentice as we finally get to see the widely promoted smackdown showdown between Nene Leakes and Star Jones. A preview clip is below -

The Apprentice 2010

The Apprentice returns for an all new season on Thursday, September 16 on NBC.

The show gets back to the basics this season as the two-hour premiere will feature 16 new non-celebrity contestants who have been hit hard by the economic downturn and are fighting back to rebuild their careers.

“I am very excited to have the civilian version of ‘The Apprentice’ back on the air this fall,” said Donald Trump. “The new edition will combine the realities of today’s economic downturn with the grittiness, drama and excitement of the original series. Each of this season’s 16 contestants has been hit hard by the economy and they are fighting back; fighting for a chance to rebuild their careers and for one savvy contestant, the career opportunity of a lifetime — to come and work for me. They have nothing to lose and everything to gain!”

This new group of candidates will compete over 13 weeks to become “The Apprentice.” The candidates include the unemployed, struggling business owners and recent college graduates.

Below are the Photos and Bios of the 16 contestants -

Tyana Alvarado, 41 (Miami, Fla.), was a successful real estate agent prior to the recession. She never imagined being unemployed for so long, yet has managed to adjust to a simpler way of life since losing her six-figure income. Alvarado currently resides in Los Angeles, Calif. and is proud to hold the title of Miss Cougar California, where she feels she can use her brains and her beauty to redefine the perception of a “cougar.”

Kelly Smith Beaty Kelly Smith Beaty, 30 (Fayetteville, Ga.), born in North Carolina and raised in Georgia, received her Bachelor of Arts in political science from Spelman College and her Masters in Public Communication from American University. Beaty worked in the press office for the Governor of Georgia and was previously employed in the Atlanta office of a global public relations firm, where she was laid off. She was recently named one of the city’s “Power 30 Under 30.”

Just weeks after rumors of being the next Bachelorette hit, comes news that reality Tv Queen Kate Plus Eight star Kate Gosselin is actually in talks to appear on the next edition of the Celebrity Apprentice.

“The producers of Celebrity Apprentice are very interested in Kate,” a source close to the show tells HollywoodLife. “And she has expressed interest as well, but there are a lot of kinks to work out before anything concrete can happen.”

Those kinks include the fact that “It’s a six-week commitment and her kids are not allowed to be part of the show; the Apprentices work every day, Monday through Sunday,” the insider explains. “Many people get to the final stages and almost do the show, but it then turns out that they are unable to appear because of scheduling conflicts.”

Adding more fuel to the fire is the fact that the above picture with Donald Trump and his wife was just taken outside of Lady Gaga’s July 7 concert at NYC’s Madison Square Garden.

“If they can make it work, they will,” the source finishes. “They both want it to happen.”

bret michaels and holly robinson peete

Rocker and reality star Bret Michaels has been declared the winner of “The Celebrity Apprentice,” beating out actress Holly Robinson Peete.

Bret, 47, who has experienced some serious health problems including a brain hemorrhage and warning stroke, was able to make it to the finale show.  Other than a slight limp, Bret looked to be in good health.

Donald Trump told Bret he was “hired” in Sunday’s finale show. Bret won $250,000 for his charity of choice, the American Diabetes Association.  And despite coming in second place, Holly was also a winner as she was awarded the same amount for her charity for autism, HollyRod.

And this isn’t the last we’ve seen of Bret.  VH1 has announced it will preview Bret’s new reality show next Sunday. The show titled “Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It,” is scheduled to debut next fall.  For the time being, VH1 announced production on the show had been “temporarily halted,” with “Bret’s health as our primary concern.”

The Biggest Loser Cast - Season 9

Danny Cahill became the latest person to win The Biggest Loser, when he dropped 239 lbs. in 7 months. NBC has now introduced the latest cast to participate is the couples edition of the series.

This new season, set to premier on January 5, is the heaviest cast ever with one of the contestants weighing an astonishing 526 lbs. The 526 lbs man is Michael Ventrella, a 30-year-old DJ from Chicago, who will be participating with his mother, Maria Ventrella, a 51-year-old corporate travel agent.

“I would do anything for Michael,” mom Maria, weighing in at 281 lbs., told PEOPLE. “At first I didn’t think I could do it because I have too many responsibilities at home. I have a husband who is disabled, my mom in a wheelchair, a full-time job, home cleaning — it’s a lot. But then he needed it so bad and so I am here, and I need it for myself, too!”

NBC is already starting to feel the heat as many are criticizing them for having such an obese man as a cast member. Critics believe the extent of activity the cast has to go through might be dangerous for some of the more obese cast members. “I’m waiting for the first person to have a heart attack,” said Dr. Charles Burant, a professor of internal medicine at the University of Michigan telling the NY Times in a recent article. “I have had some patients who want to do the same thing, and I counsel them against it,” Dr. Burant said. “I think the show is so exploitative. They are taking poor people who have severe weight problems whose real focus is trying to win the quarter-million dollars.”

The show is set to return January 5th on NBC as the contestants will be competing for the grand prize of $250,000 or $100,000 at-home prize. Host Alison Sweeney and trainers Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels are all set to return to The Biggest Loser: Couples.

The most notable celebrities on the show include Bret Michaels (Singer/Rock of Love star), Sharon Osbourne, and colorful ’80s singers Cyndi Lauper.

Other notable stars include Sinbad, Darryl Strawberry, and Holly Robinson-Peete.  The most shocking cast member would have to be former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevic. It seems committing a crime increases one’s celeb status.

Hollywood actor Lou Diamond Phillips was crowned the champion of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! During Wednesday night’s lives finale broadcast on the NBC, co host Damien Fahey announced Phillips as “King of the Jungle”.

“This experience has proven to be so much greater than I expected it to be,” Phillips said in a video clip that aired before his triumph was revealed. “I expected it to be a competition. I expected it to be hard. What I did not expect was the emotional bonds that we’ve created, the foundation of relationships that will go on from here.”

The final three included retired NBA player John Salley , Former wrestler Torrie Wilson and of course Phillips. The winner was determined by viewers voting. Phillips made an impression on viewers and also fellow celebrity cast.

Salley was the first of the three remaining finalists to be eliminated from the finale based on the voting results of Tuesday night, leaving Phillips and Wilson to duke it out.

“The public has decided and voted and I can honestly tell you two that it was incredibly close. Incredibly close,” Fahey told the pair before revealing Wilson Phillips’ victory.

“Congratulations, you deserve it,” Wilson told Phillips as she immediately embraced him.

Other celebrities on the show were former American Idol finalist Sanjaya Malakar, former supermodel Janice Dickinson, Patti Blagojevich, the wife of indicted former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich, Baldwin brother actors Stephen Baldwin, and Daniel Baldwin; “Frangela” comedy duo members Frances Callier and Angela V. Shelton, and The Hills stars Spencer Pratt, his new wife Heidi Montag and her older sister Holly Montag also competed on the show.

First, Heidi Pratt was rushed to the hospital from the show I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, it now seems to be Janice Dickinson’s turn. The former model and oldest contestant on the show was rushed to a hospital with a medical emergency. She was transferred by an ambulance this weekend to a medical clinic for treatment.

Not only had Janice complained of hunger, but she also complained of bronchitis during the show. During yesterday’s episode on NBC, Dickinson returned back to the set feeling and looking much better.
