According to the magazine, the “split” between The Rachel Zoe Project stars, effective Oct. 1, is amicable. “I love Rachel and she’s taught me everything I know,” Brad, 33, tells PEOPLE. “But there’s a point where either I do it now or I’ll never know what it’s like to spread my wings and soar.”
PEOPLE reports that Brad broke the news to Rachel a month ago. “We couldn’t stop hugging and we couldn’t stop crying,” Rachel tells the mag. “He did this with such class and elegance. And I get it. I just told him, ‘I’m here for you always.’”
When it comes to the future of her Bravo reality show, Rachel is certain about one thing – which is that no one can replace Brad. “I don’t want to hire somebody for the purpose of the show, we just got lucky. No one’s ever going to be Brad to me,” she said.
This news comes just months after Rachel fired her long time styling associate and assistant Taylor Jacobson. On the season premiere of the 3rd season, Rachel made references to Taylor stealing clothes and money from her company, a claim Taylor has since denied.
