Frank Curtin, husband of Lynne Curtin of the Real Housewives of Orange County, has a perfectly good reason for skipping out on his mandatory court date in an Orange County courthouse Tuesday for a $1.2 million judgment they were ordered to pay to a former business partner.. He sort of forgot.
In a new interview with RadarOnline, Frank attempts to explain what happened. “I just sort of forgot to go because of the Christmas season,”said Frank who is planning to set a new appointment on Wednesday.
And though a bench warrant (a form of arrest warrant) was issued for the couple on Tuesday, don’t expect to see them in handcuffs anytime soon. “A bench warrant was issued on December 21st,” a court source tells Radar. “But it’s on hold until January 27th. As long as they show up at court by that date there will be no live warrant for them. If they don’t show by then then the warrant will be active and they will be arrested.”
Frank does acknowledge that this has been a very tough year for him, “My business all went south and I have been trying to work my way out of it. In the last 4 years I have lost everything, and I went through some really hard times.” He continues, “This has been the worst year of my life.”
Frank goes on to defend Lynne, saying the lawsuit had nothing to do with her, and she should have never been named in the lawsuit. “I don’t want her to get hurt,” Frank said about Lynne, “I feel bad for her.”
