More On NYC Housewives’ Kelly Bensimon’s Mental Breakdown, Kelly Denies Being Crazy

Kelly Bensimon Crazy

Days after Kelly Bensimon’s now infamous meltdown on the Real Housewives of New York City, the 42-year-old former model continues to be a hot topic.

Kelly was even in the top 10 searches on the web for a few days, leading the nutty reality to tweet, OMG!!!!!!! I am on Yahoo top 5 list for search. KKB #5 on yahoo topic of the day! Wow.” It seems someone forgot to inform Kelly about 99.99% of those searches were proceeded by the words “crazy,” “mentally ill,” and “breakdown.”

Moving right along to Kelly’s new interview with NYMag, during which Kelly declares she suffered a “breakthrough” and not a “breakdown.” Wonder what TV show she watched Thursday night.

“Some people are like, ‘You had a breakdown,’ and I’m like, no, I had a breakthrough,” said Kelly of her hysterics on the yacht in St. John’s. Kelly goes on to claim that her rival housewives are “not happy I’m on the show, they’re just not…I’m very sensitive, and if someone says something very rude to me over and over again, I’m human. Shoot me.”

“I’m completely honest, I have a ton of integrity,” Kelly continued. “The minute I walk into the room, I create…this stagnant frenetic energy.” Umm okay, and despite the whole world thinking she is nuts, Kelly manages to find the positive in that. “Let’s be honest,” she added of her outbursts, “It makes for awesome TV…if they’re not hating on you, you’re not doing something right.”

While Kelly continues to make great TV as the expense of her reputation, one person who is quickly distancing herself from her is none other than Cuntess LuAnn De Leseeps. Here’s what LuAnn had to say about Kelly in her new bravo blog –

“I encouraged Kelly to pass on this trip because I knew that she couldn’t defend herself. I’m still baffled by how antagonistic she was at the dinner party. I think that Kelly may have had other issues going on at home that pushed her over the emotional edge. Kelly’s lack of empathy makes it hard for her to be a good girlfriend. After watching this episode, I can honestly say, I’m glad I stayed home! I don’t think anyone could have helped Kelly in this situation.”

And for anyone who’s still giving Kelly the benefit of the doubt, her behavior off the show continues to paint her in an even crazier light. Kelly continues to accuse the other ladies of bullying her, despite the fact that she was the one who continued to attack the ladies on vacation. And victim Kelly even took to twitter to try to start an anti-bullying rally –

“last call for #realhousewives bully convo. sweet dreams”

“thst’s it for #realhousewives bullying is not ok conversation. tune in tomorrow.”

Kelly has also been asking her “fans” on twitter to help her with the upcoming reunion show, scheduled to be filmed on May 26th. Apparently Kelly needs some help in defending herself against all the big bad bullies on the show. She tweeted –

“we need a reunion plan. if you dont want these women to win, give me advice.i will use it verbatim and name u on the show. tell your friends.”

i dont want to win, i jut want to get out unscathed. i am too real and nice for these women.”

And finally, last week’s episode of the Real Housewives of NYC was the highest rated ever in Bravo history for the franchise. Guess it pays to be crazy after all. But still, here’s to hoping Kelly gets the help she needs.
