More Sordid Details Revealed About The Bachelor’s Jake & Vienna Split

With each new day comes new details on the headline making split of Vienna Girardi and Jake Pavelka.

Multiple media outlets are reporting Vienna spent the entire weekend shopping around her Bachelor break up story to a tabloid, even before she officially broke up with Jake. So how much did Vienna receive for her explosive Star magazine interview? According to Popeater, she received a huge payday of $90,000.

“Jake was totally blindsided. Not only did he have no idea that Vienna was calling off their three-month engagement, he also had no idea that she would be the type of girl to profit from the breakup,” adds a source.

But don’t go feeling sorry for Jake just yet because multiple sources believe he never truly loved Vienna and was only staying with her for “fame.” The Hollywoodlife reports Jake has spent almost 10 years trying to break into acting, and he knew picking Vienna would lead to more controversy, more publicity, and more opportunities ala Dancing With The Stars.

A source tells RadarOnline, “She was trying to be a loving, second half to him but he didn’t reciprocate,” the source said. “She wanted a real relationship but he wanted an arm doll and a fake life for publicity.”

One person who isn’t surprised by this sudden break up is Jake’s ex Tanya Douglas. If you recall, Tanya gave multiple interviews this year saying Jake wanted to get back together with her after picking Vienna. “Oh, I’m so surprised,” Tanya sarcastically said on That Guy Kramer radio show after being told that Jake and Vienna were over.

And despite multiple media outlets confirming Vienna dumped Jake via phone, Jake is sticking to his claim that he did the dumping on the phone. When asked by PEOPLE magazine why he broke up by phone, Jake gives a rather interesting answer. He claims the distrust issues with Vienna were preventing him from getting into character for his guest role on Drop Dead Diva, and ending things with Vienna would be the only way he could get out of his “head” and give the character justice. Folks we are not making this up.

“One of the keys to acting is you have to get out of your head,” Jake, 32, tells PEOPLE. “This [show] didn’t hire me to be Jake, they hired me to play Toby Davlin. I can’t be Jake and sell this character.”

Troubled by what he termed “trust issues” with Vienna, 24, Jake says he broke up with her in a phone call Monday night.

“I’ve been trying to put all that aside so that I can give this character justice,” he says. “It’s been a struggle thinking about my relationship and going in front of the camera and shooting.”

Yikes, must say Jake’s words are not helping him shoot down those fame whore rumors. And as for ABC’s reaction to this very nasty public split? Popeater reveals ABC is very upset with the way Vienna handled this and are worried that another ‘Bachelor’ breakup will hurt the entire franchise. You don’t say ABC?

“Once people stop believing the show is about finding true love and instead making these awful people famous, they will stop watching,” reveals the industry source. Seems like ABC has very good reason to be worried.
