Millionaire Matchmaker Patti Stanger Calls Off Her Engagement! Explains Why

Andy Friedman

Bravo’s resident matchmaker Patti Stanger has called off her engagement to long time beau Andy Friedman.

Patti, star of the Millionaire Matchmaker confirms to Life&Style magazine that her one year engagement to Andy, whom she has dated a total of over 6 years now, is now off.

“I want a kid now and Andy doesn’t,” Patti, 49, tells Life & Style about why she and Andy, 52, have decided to go their separate ways. “My dealbreaker has always been kids.”

Patti and Andy initially set a 2010 wedding date, but continued to push back their plans when Patti couldn’t get Andy to commit to raising a family.

“Ever since our first date, he knew I wanted kids, and then something along the way changed,” says Patti.

But Patti is keeping her chin up and hasn’t given up on love.  “A good guy is out there for me, I know it,” adds Patti, who is open to being a stepmom or adopting. “A life without kids has no meaning to me. I think the most important job in the world is being a parent or stepparent!”

Not really surprised at this as it simply took too long for Andy to propose to Patti, and from what I’ve heard, the longer it takes a man to propose, the less likely the relationship/marriage is going to work out.  Plus it was obvious there was trouble in paradise when she kept on saying she was too busy to plan her wedding.  Millionaire Matchmaker is actually my favorite Bravo show, and it just seemed like Patti broke all of her own rules when it came to Andy.  I question if he genuinely loved her, because when you love someone, you don’t string them along for over six years, only to have things end this way.
