While much has been reported about the drama between Star Jones and Lisa Rinna, it seems the feud is much much uglier than we all thought… as in lawyers are now involved.
Yes, E! news is now reporting that Star is accusing her Celebrity Apprentice costar of harassment since the show wrapped. According to E!, Star claims to have been targeted by Lisa’s “foul” tweets and emails attacks, to the point that she complied all the messages together and got some “bigwig” lawyers involved.
To give you the back story on this, Lisa has made some not so nice tweets about Star, first back in October and then again last week, during which she tweeted photos of herself and various monster masks with captions such as “Great picture of me and Star Jones!!!!” And then came Sunday’s episode during which Lisa was fired following a boardroom showdown with Star and Dionne Warwick. Following her elimination, Lisa felt she was thrown under the bus by Star and some of her other teammates.
“Lisa was so furious she was kicked off so early and blamed it all on Star,” an insider tells E!. “Lisa went home and started sending nasty emails. Star just collected it all and handed them over. It’s in legal’s hands now and they’ve warned Lisa to stop.”
“Star is taking this very seriously,” adds another source. To back up her claims, Star gathered all of the tweets and emails dating back months, turning them in to NBC’s legal department, complaining she was being “harassed.” Star alleged that such attacks were “evidence of [Rinna’s] instability,” and also got lawyers from The Trump Organization and from Mark Burnett Productions involved in the fight.
“Star declined to make the cause of concern public as to not take away from her purpose of doing the show, which is charity,” states a rep for Star while a “source” tells E! “Star hasn’t taken the behind the scenes fight public because she thinks it would ruin Lisa.” How noble of Star.
NBC has declined to comment on the story as well as Lisa, who has since removed the tweets.
