NYC Housewives’ Ramona Singers Says Jill Zarin Will “Self-Destruct” Plus What Went Wrong With Bravo Poll?

A day after it was reported Jill Zarin demanded a recount on a WWHL poll, Ramona Singer is now speaking out on pollgate.

See, both of the Real Housewives of New York City stars appeared on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live last Thursday during which the poll question asked if viewers were on Team Ramona or Team Jill. Ramona received 78% of the votes with Jill only receiving 22%. The NY Post then reported yesterday that Jill demanded a recount immediately following the show and even threatened to get her lawyers involved.

Even Ramona, who has known Jill for many many years, was shocked to see how low far her frenemy costar would go. “When we were walking the carpet for TV Land [on April 10], people mentioned it to me saying, ‘Did you know she demanded a recount?’” Ramona tells the HollywoodLife. “I said, ‘Are you kidding me? Why would she do that?’”

Ramona adds that she was also surprised to hear Jill solicited votes from her twitter fans during the live show. “And then I found out that she tweeted everybody to please vote for her,” says Ramona. “She’s tweeting all of her fan base to vote for her — and she still lost!” Ouch!

Ramona states, “I’m not so competitive and so anxious to win that I’m going to start tweeting while I’m on with Andy. But she did, which I had no clue about. I had no clue that she was so upset with the results that she demanded a recount.” Ramona then makes it clear Jill is the one who brings all her misfortune on herself. “Jill is her own worst enemy,” says Ramona. “She’s very competitive. She doesn’t know how to let things go.”

“Obviously she was the most disliked housewife last season because [of] the way she treated Bethenny Frankel,” continues Ramona. “And she’s trying to redeem herself this year. But then her first episode, she’s nasty to Alex behind her back and to me. So why are people going to vote her?”

Ramona finishes stating Jill “pretends she’s all nice, nice, but it’s all about Jillousy. She’s like a suicide bomber. She’ll self-destruct.”

Meanwhile, days after Andy Cohen admitted on the air that they messed up on the WWHL poll, many fans are now wondering how that could have happened? According to Andy, the final results gave Jill 41% of the votes, a big difference from the 28% stated on Thursday.

Unfortunately, Bravo failed to give a reason as to why the error occurred, simply promising it “won’t happen again.” However, a certain tweet by Rob Shuter of Popeater might shed some light on the issue.

“Saw #RHONY tonight and found out vote was changed after it was clear no one using sprint vote counted and voting was cut off after 14 mins,” tweeted Rob.

Interesting explanation though it still doesn’t add up as to why there would be such a major discrepancy in the final vote tallies. Something does seem odd and fishy about the whole thing, mostly how was Jill so certain the poll numbers were wrong? How could anyone be certain the poll results would go a certain way if they didn’t do something to ensure it would? Whatever the case, what is certain is it’s unlikely there was any funny business on Bravo’s part as a third party handles the polling results.

HollywoodLife also ran the same poll again yesterday with 81% of the votes going to Team Ramona, and only 18% going to Team Jill. Those results seem awfully similar to Bravo’s original results no? No word yet on whether or not Jill plans to audit those poll numbers as well. Our poll is also below to see how the fans really feel.
