Dancing With The Stars Premiere Recap: Best Season Premiere Ever?

The new season of Dancing With The Stars premiered last night on ABC, in what is now being called the best season opener ever!

The reason? Let’s just say all the c-list celebs scored pretty high as the lowest score of the night was a 20. “Without a doubt, this is the best first show of any season,” said judge Len Goodman after the performances.

There was a tie for first place as Katherine Jenkins and Urkel Jaleel White both earned a remarkable 26 points, which included a pair of nines for each. Katherine, a British opera singer, danced the fox-trot with partner Mark Ballas, while actor Jaleel received compliments from the judges, also for his fox-trot with partner Kym Johnson.

In second place was hotness William Levy–aka The Cuban Brad Pitt–receiving a score of 24 for his sexy cha-cha dance with partner Cheryl Burke. William not only received praises from the judges, but also had the audience going wild! Judge Bruno Tonioli called the duo “the hottest package of the season.”

There was a three-way tie for last place with Melissa Gilbert, Gavin DeGraw, and Martina Navratilova all receiving a score of 20! Still pretty impressive considering they’ve only been dancing for a few weeks.

The good news is that all the 12 “stars” will get to return next Monday night and perform new dances. The first elimination will then take place next Tuesday.
