Versailles Officials Shut Down Kimye’s Plans Of Palace Wedding!

It's hard being Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, y'all! With all this talk about space honeymoons and astronaut families, you'd think the folks at Versailles would think it would be an out of this world opportunity to host the attention starved couple's wedding. I mean, they should be over the moon at the prospect, right? Surely with Kimye's celebrity wedding guest list, it will be the night of a thousand stars! Too much?

Unfortunately, the not so royal couple's plans to have their nuptials at the beyond lavish 17th century palace outside of Paris may not happen as envisioned. Is this shocking to anyone? Why would such a historic and high brow location want to be tarnished by the Kimye name? Can you even imagine Kanye's wedding toast? Go ahead and try…you know it will be epic!

According to Radar Online, the paparazzi paying (and pummeling) duo was spotted at Versailles this past weekend in an attempt to cement a venue, but the palace officials politely passed on the opportunity to host Kim's third lavish wedding. I can't even with her…

A source tells the site that the denial should be no surprise to the pair given that they were already told well in advance of their scouting tour that a “wedding/reception wouldn’t take place at Versailles. It would just have been to intrusive for visitors to the Palace, and the staff." Boom!  Denied.

Given that Yeezy is a genius, he likely believed he could persuade officials otherwise. Sadly, his Jedi mind tricks were of no use. The insider explains, “Kim and Kanye really wanted to get married at Versailles and were both hoping to persuade officials during their visit…ultimately it backfired. It was still a firm no.”

So what does this setback mean for the wedding of the century? “Kim and Kanye will now be scouting private estates and chateau’s in the region," the source reveals, adding, "Working with an estate manager would be much easier than dealing with all of the red tape of having a wedding at a public venue. The couple is looking for something grand, but something that can offer privacy and security.”

It's quite a sad day when the most brilliant and benevolent and beautiful and charitable couple on the planet (hell, in the universe…they do love space!) can't get married in the palace that was once home to Marie Antoinette. I was so waiting for Kimye's "Let them eat cake" moment!
