iheart radio music festival day two 210912

Someone is looking for a little by-proxy publicity!

With Real Housewives of New York premiering tonight I am ready to settle in to a big pinot-glass full of drama. Carole Radziwillwho just published her first novel, will spend the season promoting her book. And after breaking up with boyfriend Russ Irwin, she's also apparently dating!

Russ, a member of Aerosmith, tells us (via his rep) he was surprised to learn Carole had featured their relationship in A Widow's Guide To Sex and Dating because he was "under the impression they had agreed to keep the details of their personal lives… personal."

"Although Carole insisted we keep the intimate details of our relationship private, I understand why she’s spoken about it recently with such candor," Russ adds.

The couple was on-and-off for three years, but according to Russ it was Carole who was more off than him! "It’s true what she’s told a lot of these tabloids recently: that ultimately, we wanted different things," he admits. "I asked her to marry me. She said she would never marry anyone ever again."

In order to process the breakup Russ has written a song, "written during their relationship's most tumultuous time," about Carole"I suppose her catharsis was writing a guide to sex and dating.  Mine was writing an album, in particular, this song 'So Close to Heaven,'" Russ shares.

You can listen to 'So Close to Heaven' at Sound Cloud

And tonight you can catch all the drama on RHONY. In the season premiere Heather Thomson hosts a birthday party and introduces the girls to her friend Kristen Taekman. Meanwhile Ramona Singer and Aviva Drescher try to make amends!

Reality Tea will be live-tweeting the episode, so make sure to join us. Say it with me now: Pinot! Pinot! Pinot!

Real Housewives of New York airs tonight at 9/8c on Bravo.  Sonja and Ramona sat down with Access Hollywood to dish – check out the video below!
