Kate Gosselin Speaks Out About The Stuggles Of Being A Single Mom

Kate Gosselin

Did you not get enough of Kate Gosselin —  in the first part of her TLC special Kate Plus 8: Sextuplets Turn 10?? The good news for you is that the second part of the two-part special airs tonight. So see, you still have one more chance to watch everyone's love-to-hate-her mother-of-the-year!

If a two-part special is not enough, People magazine shared some of Kate's feel-sorry-for-me quotes from the special for a little sneak peek! (Too bad we could not get another interview with Kate, her older girls and Savannah Guthrie — Awkward!!)

"I'm one of many single moms out there. It's not ideal. On a very busy day where the logistics aren't lining up – I have to be here to pick this kid up and I have to be there to do whatever, that happens so often now I can't even tell you," Kate says in an excerpt.

Wasn't this special supposed to be about the sextuplets turning 10? Why is Kate taking the time to complain about the trials and tribulations of being a single mom?? I am going to go out on a limb here and guess that there are many, many (i.e. most) single moms that have it a lot rougher than Kate Gosselin.

Gosselin has been a single mother since her divorce from famewhore, Ed Hardy-lovin Jon Gosselin — and costar in Jon & Kate Plus 8 — in 2009. While I do believe that having eight kids can be quite overwhelming, I do not for one second think that she does not have help. I am not sure if she is ever photographed with a nanny, but she constantly has her 'security guard' by her side. So if she can afford security, can she not afford a nanny/baby sitter/child wrangler??

Regardless, Kate really wants you to know that it is her against the world….and her eight kids.

"It's really easy to feel like just saying, 'It's too much. There's me and there's eight kids,' I don't think an hour goes by that I'm not reminded that those odds are completely unbalanced."

"It was never my intent to portray myself as superwoman," Kate, the author of three New York Times best-sellers, insists. "I mean, I cry behind closed doors, I struggle. But I have to remind myself, this is my one shot. You're going to mess up. Just don't give up."

Don't worry Kate, we are pretty sure you might have already messed the kids up with the nasty divorce and public spectacle a few years ago. I think you can only go up from here.
