Apparently the new additions to the Real Housewives of New Jersey are not producing the ratings that Bravo wants. Even though the newbies had an awesome hair-pulling costume wearing fight last Sunday, the number of viewers continues to decline.
So what is their solution to plummeting ratings? Bring back a fan favorite, Jacqueline Laurita! I wonder what her sister-in-law, Dina Manzo, thinks of the casting news?

Remember when Dina Manzo said, “I’m going to be honest and say I will never do a reality show with family ever again. It’s just not a healthy environment. It’s not something I recommend to family.”
Well execs at Bravo either were not listening or do not care about Dina’s wishes not to work with family. Because that is exactly what producers of the Real Housewives of New Jersey plan on her working with her family in order to boost rating by adding her estranged sister-in-law, who she is not fond of, to say the least.
Sources who spoke to Us magazine said, “They were planning on taping some new scenes anyway for Teresa’s sentencing, ” referring to the upcoming September 23 court date for Teresa Giudice’s fraud case. Jacqueline will be back “to tape a few scenes.”
Teresa’s legal problems have been closely followed by the media and viewers ever since the Giudices were first indicted on 40-something charges of fraud. And Jacqueline has her own legal troubles, so perhaps that is what Bravo is hoping to capitalize on. Jacqueline and her husband, Chris Laurita have saved their New Jersey mansion from foreclosure and Chris’ company Signature Apparel has been going through the process of bankruptcy has been going on for the last five years!
Whatever the reason, Bravo seems to be grasping at straws to save the ratings of their former cash cow of a franchise. So far, so good, if they are hoping for drama between Jacqueline and Dina, because since the season started, these two have already feuded on Twitter. Let the fireworks (hopefully) begin!
