Kristen Taekman Says Luann de Lesseps Needs A Stronger Defense And Wonders If Sonja Morgan Is Bisexual

The Real Housewives of New York City - Season 7

Unlike other Real Housewives who need to pop Xanax and bring along a barrel of wine to get through the reunion taping, Kristen Taekman looked forward to the Real Housewives of New York reunion!  Kristen shares her thoughts on Part 1 in her new blog, dishing on the Luann/Carole/Adam tension, Bethenny Frankel’s party snub, and so much more!

Kristen starts out, “It’s that time of year again! Reunion. Every ‘Wives’ chance to settle arguments and hash things out once and for all. Unsurprisingly, I dread reunions. For me, some things should just be left in the past. However, this year, I was looking forward to the reunion. This season, friendships were created and broken and there was a ton of unresolved issues leading up to it.”

Despite their rocky season together, Kristen has high praise for Bethenny!  “Bethenny really grew on me this season, and I think she handled herself really well during the first video package of the clips of her crying and arguing with the other women. She owned up to the fact that she isn’t the easiest person to handle, which is very admirable. There’s nothing more frustrating than someone denying something that is so clearly true. Bethenny is a lot of things: headstrong, fierce, stubborn. That being said, she is also a real woman who isn’t afraid to stand up for what she believes and defend what she thinks is right.”

She adds that she didn’t care about the birthday party snub.  “As far as me not being invited to Bethenny’s birthday party–at this point, it’s TOTALLY water under the bridge. I was merely surprised at the time that I was left, out since the other ladies were included. I wasn’t mad. I wasn’t “hurt.” I was just like, “Oh! OK then.” That was that. It was a non-issue, but it was sweet of Heather to try and support me (even though I never asked her to do that!).”

On Sonja, she says friends should be allowed to be concerned and Kristen wonders if Sonja is bisexual.  “It’s really sad that Sonja can’t admit that she has some sort of issue. No, I’m not a doctor. No, I’m not a therapist. But I am a friend. And friends are allowed to express concern over their friends. I feel badly that Sonja thinks that we are all ganging up on her, but that is simply not the case. The first step in recovery is admitting you have a problem…I hope that one day she can come to terms with whatever she is going through. I think that she will live a much more fulfilling and happy life once that epiphany occurs. For now, the conversations just go in circles, and it’s almost not even worth it, as sad as that is to say. (BTW–Sonja is bi?! Can’t say I’m surprised! LOL).”

Kristen has some harsh words for the Countess.  “Carole was very well-spoken when she was confronting Sonja about the “John-John” comment. Sonja needs to show a little more respect. And Luann’s comment about family?! Bye, Luann. You’re rude and irrelevant in this discussion.”

She continues, addressing the drama between Carole and Adam and Luann, “Carole and Adam. LOVE THEM BOTH! I have had the pleasure of hanging out with Adam a few times, and he is wonderful. He and Carole make an amazing couple. As far as Luann is concerned, make up your mind, Countess! Is it that he is your “help,” is it his age, or is it your niece? The key to winning an argument is to have a strong point of defense. Luann was so all over the place, you couldn’t even take her seriously! Carole is happy. Let’s leave it at that. Luann looks like a petty fool in the way that she is handling this whole situation.  Luann came out with the gloves on. Man, she was something! She had something to say about everything, and she was just plain rude. She has this condescending way of talking to the other women. Very Countess-y.”
