Kim Kardashian Casting For New Reality Show About Beauty Blogging?

Kim Kardashian is expanding her reality TV empire to include executive producing a competition reality show for beauty bloggers.

A hush-hush casting notice has just been discovered which advertises that Kim Kardashian West, “the most influential style icon on the planet” (HAHAHA – as in icon of how NOT to dress!) is searching for “America’s next superstar beauty blogger.” Think Project Runway meets The Apprentice, apparently.

Kim seeks vloggers who have “thousands of fans” obsessing over their tutorials and haul videos to compete against each other to win a coveted position as the Beauty Director for the Kardashian Apps to create content and tutorials with Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney.

Kim’s future show doesn’t have a title as of yet, but promises to air on a “major cable television network” and is produced in partnership with Shed Media – the producers behind Real Housewives Of New York.

PopSugar spoke with the casting director who revealed they want contestants with a “strong following” since the show will revolve around creating videos for each challenge, “so having a vlogging or production background will be helpful, as well as serious makeup artistry skills.”

Interestingly, Kim is not looking for people with an editorial background, or someone with a professional hair, makeup, or journalism experience, but instead someone with a lot of exposure, a big personality, and ability to use social media effectively. The Kardashians reportedly rake in millions for their personalized apps, but rumor has it the elder sisters forays into app-dom is less successful than little sisters Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner, whose apps are insanely lucrative. Although Forbes just reported that Kim has earned $45 million from her Kim Kardashian Hollywood game. Yipes!

Additionally, the Kardashian’s foray into their own beauty empire has been plagued by problems and lawsuits, including the sisters being sued by investors for failing to adequately promote Kardashian Beauty, so perhaps the new show is related?

Kim’s show begins filming in late October. No doubt the casting process and Kim’s entry into production will be cross-promoted and heavily featured on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and contestants will be required to use plenty of Kardashian Beauty products throughout filming.
