Emily Simpson Says Gina Kirschenheiter Was “Judgmental” Over Las Vegas Trip On Real Housewives of Orange County

Unexpected cracks have formed in the once-solid friendship between Emily Simpson and Gina Kirschenheiter this season on The Real Housewives of Orange County.

In a recent interview, Emily broke down her side of the surprising feud with her erstwhile BFF during the cast trip to Arizona and why she stands by inviting Gina to Las Vegas.

After the blow-up argument between her and Gina in Arizona over lack of support, miscommunication and the latter refusing to attend the former’s girls trip to Las Vegas, Emily still doesn’t think she did anything wrong by inviting her legally-mired pal to watch her dance in Sin City.

“No, I don’t think I was being insensitive,” the RHOC star admitted on People TV’s Reality Checked. “I think I was just saying like, ‘Why don’t you come with me, it’ll be fun’ as anyone would do with their best friend. Like, they would invite them. So really the whole getting mad at me about Vegas thing, I really honestly to this day don’t even really understand.”

Emily also teased that things between the two Housewives, who bonded after joining the show together in Season 13, are going to get worse before they get better.

“If you watch the rest of the season, there’s obviously still another Emily and Gina…moments to come,” she dished. “But I think in the end, fundamentally Gina and I really care about each other and really have a real friendship, so regardless of the ups and downs I feel like we always can come back to that to that place — that fundamental place of friendship.”

However, Emily was quick to clarify that her bond with her fellow second-season ‘Wife doesn’t negate the fact that she’s been mistreated by her friend this season.

“I just felt like the whole Vegas thing, like I really still didn’t understand it,” she reiterated. “‘Cause I felt like when she told me about getting a DUI, I felt like I was nonjudgmental ’cause she’s so close to me and I care about her so much. So I felt like I was coming from a place of non-judgement, you know? And then with the Vegas thing, I felt like it was very judgmental. And I’m like, ‘Well wait a minute. I wasn’t judgmental, I was supportive.’ So I just kind of expected the same in return and didn’t feel like I was getting it.”
