Larsa Pippen is causing a lot of chatter on this season of Real Housewives of Miami. Between her killing it on OnlyFans to her dragged out divorce, she might not be the most compelling, but she manages to keep people talking.
Now that her divorce to NBA legend Scottie Pippen is finally done, three years later, that leaves Larsa with more dating options. She recently spoke to Us Weekly about what she’s looking for and more specifically, what she’s NOT looking for. Said Larsa, “I’m trying to avoid athletes. If that’s the question, I’m definitely trying to avoid athletes.”
She elaborated, “It’s almost like a nurse and a doctor — if you’re a nurse and you’ve worked in a hospital, you’re more likely to like have friends that are doctor. So, I feel like I’ve been in the basketball world for so long that I feel like I’m just surrounded by that world.” Except you’re not a professional basketball player but ok, I guess. Larsa added, “It’s not like I go look for it. It’s just there, you know?”
And Larsa has good reason to avoid the athletes at this point. During her separation/divorce proceedings from Scottie, she infamously dated another NBA star, Malik Beasley. Drama ensued because Malik was technically still married and Larsa was labeled a home wrecker. She denies the claim but the couple broke up after 6 months. Then Malik hung her out to dry on social media, claiming that his relationship with Larsa was “childish.” Ouch. Talk about adding insult to injury.

On an episode of RHOM, Larsa admitted that Scottie wasn’t too impressed with her relationship with Malik. She told castmate Lisa Hochstein, “When Malik got 90 days or something in jail he sent it to me. He’s like, ‘Go ahead, keep talking to these losers.’” To clarify, Malik was arrested in September of 2020 for pointing a gun at family outside of his home. He plead guilty to felony charges and served 78 days in jail.
But Larsa doesn’t want to dwell on the past. She confessed, “I don’t wanna give too much life to my past relationship. I just think you learn from all your mistakes. You grow every day, and I just feel like I’m in a better place today than I was yesterday.”
