The Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher Jordan Rodgers The Bachelor

The Bachelorette Alums JoJo Fletcher And Jordan Rodgers Have A New Reality Show On The Way

Newlyweds JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers, who finally got married earlier this month after being engaged for nearly 6 years, are the hosts of a new reality dating show that gives recently divorced couples the opportunity to entertain new love interests — all while being closely observed by their former spouses. The Big D, an upcoming TBS series, will show what happens when love falls apart and ex-spouses have free rein to move on while living in close quarters. (Gee, shout out to anyone who’s ever experienced the loss and pain of a divorce: does this sound like fun to you? I seriously think I’d rather have a root canal.)

As reported in People, the first trailer for the series sees hosts JoJo and Jordan introducing six formerly married couples to the show’s format. “Welcome to beautiful Costa Rica, where six recently-divorced couples will search for love again,” JoJo says. “But . . . they’ll have to do it while living with their ex.” (Kill me now.)

Jordan later drops a bombshell surprise on the featured players. “Believe it or not, your ex is actually here to help you,” he says.

But a glimpse into some of the show’s drama may say otherwise. The preview shows an ex-wife encouraging any woman in the house to sleep with her former husband, and a few are admitting to having lingering feelings that may inhibit their chance of moving on.

It seems that each past relationship lives on — whether or not the exes want to acknowledge it.

“A bunch of divorcees dating other people’s exes? There’s no other option than to pour gas on the house and burn it down,” one of the women says. Nicely phrased.

Another woman later admits to her former husband, “I may still love you.” Her ex’s response? “I will tell you this — I knew.”

While The Big D starts with six couples, viewers will eventually see 10 couples try to find new love by the end of the series. It won’t be all fun and games, though.

Each of the singles will also participate in “revealing relationship EX-ercises” that will help them move forward and learn how to build authentic connections, according to a press release from TBS. Every episode, one single who “isn’t relationship material” will be sent home.

As JoJo says in the trailer, “This whole process if brutal.” No kidding.

The Big D premieres July 7 on TBS.
