Sister Wives star Christine Brown is moving on up. Apparently, life gets better after Kody Brown. On Sister Wives, we’ve seen all but one of his wives leave their infamous plural marriage. One by one, the sister wives have flown the coop, and now, ex-wife Christine Brown says she’s taking a much-deserved “deep breath.”
It’s been nearly two years since Christine and Kody announced their breakup, and she has had a lot of changes in her life since then. In a recent interview with People, she opened up about her new life and all of the epiphanies she’s having since moving on from Kody.
A whole new world for Sister Wives’ Christine Brown
During the interview, Christine talked about how she was blind to reality in her previous marriage. She talks about her relationship with Kody with the same conviction as a person who escaped a cult. She’s finally free, and she said she feels “so much happiness and so much joy not living it anymore.”
“I thought we were open. I thought we knew everything, and I thought that we understood how big this world was,” Christine explained. “But once I left, I was really like, ‘Oh my gosh, there’s a whole world out here, I feel like I can take a deep breath. And there’s possibilities and there’s amazing stuff on the other side of polygamy.’
For Christine, the other side of polygamy has been pretty sweet. She just married her new man David Woolley, and thankfully, she’s the only wife on the premises this time. The marriage is still in its infancy, and it sounds like they’re honeymooning hard. We love that for her.
“It’s a fairytale,” Christine shared. “It’s everything I never thought I would have. I get to walk down the aisle to David, him just looking at me the way that he does, it’s a dream come true.”
Although Kody is down to just one wife, Sister Wives is still going strong. Catch it airing on TLC, Sundays at 10/9c.
