The Golden Bachelor Episode 7 Recap: The Women Tell All!

The Golden Bachelor Episode 7
ABC/John Fleenor

After leaving off on a massive cliffhanger last week, Gerry Turner’s final two women were finally revealed last night on The Golden Bachelor. Gerry was torn between Theresa Nist and Faith Martin, after giving his first rose to Leslie Fhima. In true Bachelor Nation fashion, viewers were forced to wait until the end of the night for the big reveal.

The wait was not a boring one, however, since last night was also the first ever women tell all in Golden Bachelor history! From laughs and reunions to a shocking elimination, here is everything that went down during The Golden Bachelor Episode 7!

The women tell all kicks off

The Golden Bachelor Episode 7
ABC/John Fleenor

In a truly historic moment, Jesse Palmer kicked off the first ever Golden Bachelor Women Tell All! The women present are Patty, Pamela, Marina, Christina, Natascha, Joan, Nancy, Edith, April, Kathy, Sandra, Susan, and of course Ellen!

Jesse suggests that the women begin by practicing Sandra’s cursing nerve exercises, which she showed Gerry during her limo exit night one. After sharing a good laugh, the women and Jesse take a look back on their time with Gerry. Some highlights are the iconic pickle ball game, and the infamous feud between Kathy and Theresa.

After watching the clips, the women reflect on their Golden Bachelor journeys. The general consensus from the group is to encourage their age group to never give up on love. That’s right! Jesse takes the opportunity to take a humorous dig at April, and calls her out for her fake ankle injury on the pickle ball court. April replies that “desperate times call for desperate measures.” She has a point!

On a more serious note, Kathy reveals that she and Theresa have since made up, following their on screen feud. Jesse tells the women that they were all inspiring, and Natascha replies that it’s because they “have all lived life.” Arguably, one of the best parts of the night was a special video message to the women from Kris Jenner. Of course she gives a special shout out to her doppelganger Susan!

Joan takes the hot seat!

Joan is the first lucky lady to take the hot seat, where she discusses her decision to self-eliminate from the competition. Joan explains that her daughter had been struggling with postpartum depression, and really needed her mom to be there for her. After looking back on her time with Gerry, Joan gets emotional. She ends her time by speaking about what it is like to date as a senior citizen, perhaps she will be our Golden Bachelorette?

Ellen’s turn to share it all

The Golden Bachelor Episode 7

Ellen is the next to take the hot seat, after becoming a fan favorite early on. Ellen was eliminated right before hometowns, which was heartbreaking to see. During her conversation with Jesse, Ellen admits that she saw an amazing life with Gerry. Awe Ellen!

Emotions in the room run high as Jesse asks Ellen about her best friend Roberta, who had been diagnosed with terminal cancer prior to filming. Roberta passed away shortly after Ellen returned from filming, the two had been best friends for over 60 years. Roberta’s daughter Courtney surprises Ellen from the audience, and tells Ellen that she was the best friend her mom could have ever asked for. Pass the tissues please!

Gerry comes out!

The Golden Bachelor Episode 7
ABC/John Fleenor

Gerry is officially in the house, and his ex-girlfriends are all elated to see him! In typical Gerry humor, he jokes that he is doing well and has not had a heart attack yet! On a more serious note, Gerry admits that he has missed all the women.

The ladies have plenty to say to Gerry. Marina asks if all of the men in Indiana are like him, while Sandra explains Gerry helped her realize finding a partner in their generation is possible. Joan wishes the best for Gerry, while Ellen thanks him for making her feel like a princess during their time together.

Gerry responds by saying that he and all of the women made history together. They really did!

Back to the rose ceremony

Now for what you’ve all been waiting for! It is time to find out who receives Gerry’s second rose, and the answer truly surprised Bachelor Nation. Theresa’s name is called, leaving Faith shocked. Gerry walks Faith out, and remarks that he really enjoyed getting to see Faith in her element during hometowns. The two share a heartbreaking goodbye, as Faith admits in a confessional that she was ready to marry Gerry.

Faith & Gerry reunite in The Golden Bachelor Episode 7

The Golden Bachelor Episode 7
ABC/John Fleenor

Faith and Gerry had the opportunity to speak for the first time since their breakup, and it was certainly an emotional reunion. Faith began crying as soon as she saw Gerry, and the two shared a long hug. After sitting down, Faith admits that everything was so hard for her since she felt like she was talking to a stranger the last time she spoke to Gerry. Gerry responds that he regrets not explaining more to her before she left.

Gerry also begins to tear up, and reveals that he feels awful after breaking a promise to Faith’s sons. He promised them that he would take care of her heart, but ultimately he was not able to. Gerry and Faith wish each other the best, and Faith hopes that she will be able to feel what she felt for Gerry again one day. We hope so too!

The night concludes with some hilarious bloopers, and a shocking preview for what’s to come on next week’s episode. Jesse thanks Gerry and the women, and concludes by saying that they all had a lot of fun together. It was fun for us to watch too!

The Golden Bachelor continues Thursdays on ABC.
