Will There Be a Hollywood Movie Based on RHOSLC’s Jen Shah?

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City alum, Jen Shah, went from fleeing the Beauty Lab + Laser parking lot to three hots and a cot after being convicted of wire fraud and money laundering. Jen was sentenced to six and a half years in prison and began her sentence in February. Though she’s been locked away from the world, apparently, she hasn’t been forgotten.

Jen’s always had delusions of grandeur. See: orchestrating a wide-reaching scheme aimed at tricking the elderly, which in turn fatly padded her wallet to fund a life of luxury. Now, she’s basically salivating over the idea of a Jen Shah biopic hitting the silver screen and has already cast the lead role in her mind. This, after A-list actress Emma Stone (probably jokingly) suggested that Hollywood should make it happen.

Emma Stone, in a moment of questionable genius, kick-started a campaign for the Shah-mazing biopic. She was at the NYC premiere of her new film, Poor Things, when she was asked which Housewife deserves the cinematic treatment from the film’s director, Yorgos Lanthimos. Emma, a Bravo superfan, pointed straight at Jen. She thinks Jen would perfectly lend herself to being one of Yorgos’ bizarre and eccentric characters.

Lights, camera, delusion: Jen caught wind and wants Kim Kardashian to play her

Who does Jen want to play her? Kim Kardashian! Jen’s been a Kim K fangirl for a while. Before the whole wire fraud and money laundering sentencing ordeal, she wanted Kim on her legal team. Now, she’s aiming for the Hollywood version.

Jen’s manager Chris Giovanni spilled the tea to TMZ. Though Jen didn’t elaborate on why she picked Kim, we all know the Kardashian magic is hard to resist. And considering Kim’s acting strides, landing roles in American Horror Story and a gig with Ryan Murphy playing celebrity divorce lawyer Laura Wasser, maybe the idea isn’t completely batshit crazy. OK, no, it still is. I don’t see Kim hanging out in a hospital for extended periods of time so she can smell like one to really immerse herself in playing Jen.

But is this biopic actually happening? Well, not yet, but if and when it does, Jen’s got 100-150 pages of prison notes ready to share with production. Because of course she does.

If this film were to materialize, maybe we’d finally get to see what actually happened to cause Heather Gay’s black eye. Though, everything Jen touches seems to eventually turn to trash, so I’d expect this one to go straight to VHS!

You can stream Jen’s seasons of RHOSLC on Peacock, and the current season continues Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
