Dr. Jackie and Dr. Heavenly dished over the previous events with an early morning pancake breakfast. Jackie tried to stay healthy, but who can resist a pancake? Heavenly shared that she had felt used by Quad, and now Quad had been voted off the island. Jackie sipped her tea and said she had voted herself off. They both agreed they’ve all grown together as a group. Heavenly joked that if Toya could be elevated by the group, could they do the same for Sweet Tea?

Everyone then met up in Toya’s room. They would be split up, with some going to the spa for a mud bath and others riding in a Tuk Tuk. Heavenly thought it was about slinging mud, but Toya said the day was all about positivity. Which Toya promptly ignored when she criticized the outfit Alicia picked for the spa. After Sweet Tea popped some champs, the group headed off to enjoy some positive vibes.

Getting down and dirty

Toya brought Alicia, Phaedra, and Dr. Simone to the spa. Two mud baths and two mineral baths awaited. No one wanted to do the mud bath because … well it’s mud. And Phaedra did not want her vagina to smell like anything other than “peach pie.” As with most situations, Alicia got the short end of the stick, so she got to get down and dirty in the mud bath with Toya. Simone and Phaedra were very happy in their clean, non smelly water.

Meanwhile Jackie, Heavenly, and Sweet Tea cruised around the vineyards in their Tuk Tuk joking about period panties versus thongs. The driver then dropped them off to dine al fresco. While they enjoyed their charcuterie, or as Sweet Tea called it, “coochie board,” you could hear crickets.

In her confessional, Sweet Tea said it was like hanging out with her grandmothers and they didn’t have much in common. Still, Jackie and Heavenly told Sweet Tea they were going to give her a chance, as long as she dialed back on the whining and put her big girl panties on.

Alicia’s relationship is in the hot seat

Back in Atlanta, Dr. Eugene stopped by Cecil’s house for some cigars. The two brought up Alicia’s husband, Dr. Kema, and how he had spoken to her at the engagement party. Eugene admitted they could never speak to their wives that way. They wouldn’t back down if a man tried to tell them what to do. Regardless, they were looking forward to getting to know Kema better.

Alicia also brought up her relationship as the ladies sunned themselves. It was the first time Kema had to take care of the kids, and he told her he had a new appreciation for her. A step in the right direction! Alicia mentioned how she was raised that you do not need a man in your life, to which Toya interjected that as an adult woman you do. I’m not sure what the issue was, but it seemed like Toya had one with Alicia.

The conversation then turned to Phaedra and if she would get married again. The answer was a solid no. She didn’t need a label, and had already gone through a bad divorce. Toya and Simone wondered how Phaedra’s kids heard about the news, and Phaedra told them they read about it. When Toya tried to school Phaedra on how she would have delivered the message differently, Phaedra clapped back that’s great for her household. Ouch!

Later that night the ladies went out to dinner. The dress code was red or white to honor their favorite wine. However, Phaedra went rogue and chose sparkling. Ironically, it was all cocktails for the group. The main topic of the night was Quad. Jackie wondered how everyone felt voting her off the island. Toya had no regrets, and hoped Quad would see her wrongdoings. Not likely!

Heavenly takes a leap of faith

Everyone was back in Atlanta, and Kema survived with the kids! Alicia had a big smile on her face to see her family happy and healthy. Eugene caught up with Toya to do her hair. As he worked on her extensions, Toya wondered when their next actual date would be. Toya wanted real time together to reignite the fire between them.

Sweet Tea finally made it to the doctor’s to learn more about her health. She was diagnosed with endometriosis and was told she would need surgery. On top of that, she learned that 50% of people with her condition have infertility. Sweet Tea could not believe this was happening. She was a planner and this was definitely not in the plan. She called up Dr. G to relay the news. He was supportive, and said they would hope for the best.

Heavenly’s daughter Alaura came in to check on her. She was worried her mom would be lonely once she went to college, so she suggested Heavenly call up her sister. Heavenly hadn’t talked with her sister Denise in years. She hadn’t found the right time to call her after their mother passed. And Heavenly was wary about opening that door. Still, she ended up calling her. She left a message, and now it’s up to her sister to respond.

Married to Medicine continues Sundays at 9/8c on Bravo.
