One thing about Karen Huger: she’s always full of surprises. Over the years on The Real Housewives of Potomac, we’ve seen her take flying lessons. She learned how to ride a motorcycle. Karen is always up to something unexpected. Her 60th birthday celebration has inspired her to crank it up another level. This time, she got a tattoo!
In a sneak peek of RHOP Season 8, Episode 10, the cameras followed Karen and Rayvin Huger as they got matching tattoos. Who would have thought we’d ever see the Grande Dame getting inked?
Real Housewives of Potomac Season 8, Episode 10 preview: Karen gets tatted
In the sneak peek, we see Karen and Rayvin having some sweet mother-daughter time at a tattoo shop. In true Karen fashion, she showed up to the tattoo parlor rocking high heels and a Fendi bag.
It was Karen’s first tattoo, and she explained that she wanted to get something in honor of her mom for Mother’s Day. Her mom’s name was Georgia, so Karen decided to get a small “G” to pay tribute to her.
“Everyone knows I’m doing triple 20,” Karen explained. “I’m celebrating life.”
Of course, Karen seemed nervous about getting inked for the first time, but Rayvin provided some comfort. She coached her mom through the whole process and barely judged her wild reactions to the needle. Plus, Karen’s nerves seemed to ease a little bit more once she learned her tattoo artist’s name was Ray, just like her husband Ray Huger!
Karen shared that Ray doesn’t necessarily love tattoos. Luckily for him, the tattoo that she ended up getting is about the size of an eyelash. He probably won’t even notice it.
Although it’s a tiny little piece of art, it’s cute to know that it holds such a significant meaning for the Grande Dame. If she’s happy, we’re happy.
