Phaedra Parks Talks The Traitors Season 2 Feud With Dan Gheesling

Phaedra Parks is undoubtedly the MVP of The Traitors Season 2. Her iconic reads, epic one-liners, and fabulous glam made her the gift we couldn’t get enough of. She outlasted her fellow killers, Parvati Shallow and Dan Gheesling, lasting until Episode 10 before being banished by the remaining Faithful. So, why the feud between Phaedra and Dan?

Many fans feel the Bravo vet would’ve won it all had it not been for Dan bitterly blowing up her game during his final minutes. Although her legal expertise and ability to thrive under pressure kept her around long-term, Phaedra’s Bravo sisters also helped keep her alive. So, did they have a plan before entering the game? Or were they letting “the chips fall may.”

“Well, we definitely didn’t have a strategy,” Phaedra told Vulture. “When Kate came, she was all about, ‘bring it for Bravo.’ But in my mind, my Bravolebrities are my family members, so I would always be wedded to them more than a stranger, and I think that was the same way with the gamers. But I mean, I loved most of the players. Really, I liked everyone except for Dan.”

If you’ve been keeping up with the season’s drama online, Phaedra hasn’t been shy about hiding her disdain for Dan. The Big Brother winner upset his fellow Traitor when he threw her under the bus during an earlier episode. Although he hoped to survive, he learned the hard way after the classy attorney “shredded” his ass at the roundtable.

So, why was Phaedra bothered by Dan’s gameplay?

“I’m very loyal,” she said. “And so when you take the oath to play a game under a certain set of rules, and you break the rules just because you’re upset that you’re not winning, I don’t like people like that. That’s an innately distrustful and bad person.”

Following that intense roundtable, the Faithful were on to Phaedra like never before. And according to the funeral director, it was because of Dan. “I was never under any suspicion,” she explained. “They didn’t show some of this, but I’d always tried to help him because he was a very strange person.”

Regarding her strategy, Phaedra also revealed why she chose to take the backseat with some of the bigger moves.

“Obviously, Dan, when we first started, was a master gamer,” she said. “If I’m not an expert, I don’t have a problem with allowing the expert to be an expert. And so if it’s the court case, I would be in first chair, but it’s a game, and he had obviously won Big Brother. He knew these people, and I didn’t know him at all. If he made a reasonable argument, of course, I would agree with it because I didn’t have the expertise to know who a Johnny Bananas was.”
