The perspective on Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke’s split has changed quite a bit over the last year. When it came out that the Summer House couple had broken off their engagement, everyone pointed to Carl as the bad guy.
However, as Season 8 continued airing, many viewers began changing their perspective. Even Lindsay’s castmates branded her as ‘the problem.’ And with the most recent episode seeing Lindsay’s stress over her sex life, the cracks in the relationship were evident.
Agreement between partners on sexual habits should be a given for any relationship, especially the frequency of sex. Whether a partner feels entitled or deprived is something that should be addressed between both parties. Lindsay instead decided to bring it up with her friends first.
Paige thinks Lindsay was sugarcoating her claims about sex with Carl
On the most recent episode of Summer House, Lindsay admitted to Paige DeSorbo that Carl was “not a very sexual person.” When Paige asked how often she and Carl were having sex, Lindsay answered, “Like, once every couple of weeks.”
She joked, “You’re probably having sex with your long-distance boyfriend more than me,” referring to Craig Conover. Paige agreed that she and Craig were “f*cking all the time” before encouraging Lindsay to change her frequency of sex with Carl.
Amanda Batula urged Lindsay not to compare her relationship with Carl to the relationships of others. However, Amanda also confirmed that in her relationship with Kyle Cooke, spanning over a year, the two of them had sex “every day.”
Lindsay shared that when she and Carl did get intimate, they had “such good sex.” But despite the good times, Carl just never seemed to want to get into it. “Your f*cking boyfriend and your husband are initiating. Mine just doesn’t even initiate,” she said.
Amanda and Paige encouraged Lindsay further, but Paige shared concerns in a confessional. “I feel like when people talk about their sex life, they lie a little.” She believed that two weeks without sex was probably more like six weeks in reality.
