Jennifer Pedranti is going back to court with her ex-husband William Pedranti. The Real Housewives of Orange County star theoretically won legally in June when her divorce was finalized and the two reached an agreement.
But recent events indicate that matters are not resolved between them. During an interview with Jeff Lewis, Jennifer revealed that William was not making his payments on time. Now, the situation has escalated further.
Jennifer Pedranti revealed that William “just didn’t pay”
Jennifer is back on the Jeff Lewis Show to explain how the situation ended up back in the courtroom. Basically, it was confirmed by Jenn that William “just didn’t pay.”
Jeff asked about the “very uncomfortable compromising position” of going “on with your life” and leasing “a house” based on the assumption of regular, monthly payments.
“We are going back to court just because it has gone on now for some period of time. My ex did send me an email a few months back saying he had, things had shifted for him in his career. He needed a little bit of time and I understood that, but there was no communication. Right? So then, everything’s just silent, and then the child support alimony’s not being paid,” she explained.
Jennifer previously spoke about the lack of communication with William. As she was getting no answers via devices, Jennifer went to his home to confront him.
“I did go to his house, and I just knocked on the door and I said, ‘Hey, I gotta know, are we doing this? Are you doing good? Are we gonna be able to resume payment at any time?’ and he wasn’t happy that I was on his doorstep. He didn’t want to even communicate at all,” she shared.
Jennifer did everything she could to communicate with William
Jennifer felt that she “tried with him” and saw no other option but to go to her attorney. Her lawyer “filed the contempt,” and Jennifer “opened a case with child support services.”
Jeff then asked if Jenn “ever saw a dollar” of the “lump sum” awarded for the “sale of the house.”
“No. Nope, and I know everybody is going to judge me for saying this. Ryan [Boyajian] gets so sideways with me,” Jennifer answered. “I do believe my ex-husband is in a very different financial position. I wish he would talk to me about it because the kids, and I thank you, God, we live with Ryan. We have a home. I have a car and a job. I can, you know what I mean? So, I wish we were not going down this path, but I don’t know what else to do.”
Jeff suggested William’s behavior is “strange” given “the repercussions of what is happening.” Perhaps the exes could have discussed a “payment plan.”
Jennifer thinks William wants to “bring his income down” at the upcoming court date
Jennifer revealed that William petitioned for a court date “right before the reunion.” She found “a box on the porch” with the relevant papers inside.
“I thought it was the jewelry from the boys, and so I grabbed the box, and I wouldn’t say I was served, but there was all these documents inside the box,” she said. “And now he’s petitioned for a court date, and so I think this is where he will have the opportunity to bring his income down.”
The financial change will be a “drastic” one for Jennifer’s kids, but she pointed out that they “weren’t getting” the money anyway.
“This is where communication with him and I would’ve been so helpful, so now it’s just ugly. Right? Now I have a court date out there. He’s now got a court date out there and it’s super unfortunate,” she concluded.
