The actor-director then alleged that Lively referred to the pop icon as one of her “dragons” during script rewrites for the film adaptation. Consequently, the highly public legal drama wrapped Swift within, leading to tensions in her friendship with Lively.
A source exclusively told PEOPLE, “Taylor was really hurt by this situation, so she’s relieved they were able to recover from this and put it all behind them,” adding, “it wasn’t something she took lightly.” Detailing Lively’s confidence, the insider claimed, “Blake knew she and Taylor would come back from this at some point and that their friendship wasn’t done for good.”
Per PEOPLE, recent developments suggested that Swift could be among those served with subpoenas in Lively v. Wayfarer Studios et al in the upcoming trial in March 2026. Additionally, the “Cruel Summer” singer’s involvement in “It Ends with Us” went beyond her friendship with Lively. The film used Swift’s song “my tears ricochet” in its trailer.
