Why Shep Rose and Sienna Evans Took ‘A Little Break’

Before ending things altogether, Shep Rose and his (ahem) “girlfriend” Sienna Evans decided to just take “a little break.”

At first, the relationship with the former Miss Bahamas beauty queen had been amazing. Even though she lived in the Bahamas and Shep was in Charleston, they still managed to find time for each other. But something apparently went awry when Sienna came to visit Shep at his family home in Linville, North Carolina.

The Southern Charm star broke down the story for Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge in a recent episode of Two Ts In A Pod,

Shep Rose and Sienna Evans took “a little break” before splitting for good

“We took a little break because of something that happened,” Shep said. “I’ll tell you exactly. So I bought her her flight to Hilton Head and Charleston, the first two trips … I was happy to do it, right? Then I went down to Nassau, and she was very generous. She got me a hotel room at the Baha Mar and, boy, we had fun. The Bahamas was amazing.”

But shortly before the Southern Charm trip to the Bahamas, Shep invited Sienna to stay at his parents’ Linville home while they were away in Spain. But the day before Sienna was to arrive, she told Shep she hadn’t yet purchased her plane ticket. That’s kind of odd.

“She was like, ‘Hey, I’ve been really busy. Will you just get my flights?’” Shep remembered. “I said, ‘Yeah, OK, and I bottled it up. And then after the weekend, I really [needed] to get this off my chest … [I said,] ‘I just don’t appreciate the way that was handled. I made a lot of plans, and I took care of everything.'”

Shep suggested that in the future, they should just meet “somewhere in the middle … because I’m not a desperate man who’s flying girls around.’”

At that point, Shep claims Sienna became “indignant.” She told him, “Where I come from, the man takes care of everything.” He also allegedly gave her some push-back, questioning if Sienna would give that advice to the young girls she mentors.

“That’s a bad thing to think and to practice, frankly,” he added. “I was like, maybe we should take a step back, and she was like, ‘Yeah, OK.’”

All episodes of Southern Charm are streaming on Peacock and on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
