So far, it’s been an interesting year for JoJo Siwa. She got cast on Celebrity Big Brother and pretty much immediately started getting harassed by a Hollywood has-been. Then, she got entangled in a “friendship” with Chris Hughes that seemed more like a showmance. The fact that JoJo dumped her partner right after getting back from CBB didn’t help those theories.
JoJo went through all of that, and she still didn’t win the show. She came in third place, and now, she’s ready to start a new chapter. The singer, dancer, and reality star said she’s shifting back to music and preparing to release her “most personal” song yet. Brace your ears.
JoJo Siwa is getting “personal” with her new single
Fresh off her breakup from Kath Ebbs, JoJo told fans that she’s planning to release an “up-tempo summer ear-worm” called Bulletproof. It will be accompanied by a music video that she choreographed herself. The song drops on May 16, and she’s been teasing the video on her Instagram.
“It’s my most personal song yet because it’s about the journey I’ve been on and the challenges I’ve faced, and how I’ve come out of them stronger,” JoJo said via press release.
So, is that journey going to be about navigating a breakup in the public eye? Or, perhaps she’s just going to write about how difficult it was to be near Mickey Rourke on CBB before he got kicked off the show. We’re not sure, but JoJo said she’s excited for the world to hear her powerful message.
“I can’t wait for my fans to hear it and to see the video we worked so hard on,” she continued.
According to JoJo, Bulletproof will be about “strength and vulnerability and realizing no one is immune from the [effects] others have on you.” Is anyone else feeling empowered? We’ll be streaming on May 16.
