Bravo is truly in its expansion era right now. Just a few days ago, the network revealed on social media that it just greenlit several new reality TV shows for fans to look forward to. From a long-awaited reboot of Ladies of London to a remake in the style of a beloved spin-off (aka The Valley: Persian Style), this new lineup is thrilling. Among the new announcements was the reveal of the new city of Real Housewives. And it was quite the shocker.
It’s official: The Real Housewives of Rhode Island is coming our way. It’s not the first time the franchise has headed up north. Yet, everyone has been saying … Rhode Island … really? Before the expectations get low, though, Andy Cohen is here to give some much-needed reassurance.
Will Real Housewives of Rhode Island leave RHONJ in the dust?
Andy recently spoke out about the unexpected RHORI reveal. He confidently addressed the doubt Bravo fans have and teased that it will be better than anticipated.
“The cast is incredible. They are very Italian. Rhode Island is such a small state, and they all kind of know each other and overlap, and it’s an incredible group of women who have really interesting connections. I think it’s going to really surprise people,” he told Page Six.
In fact, the Watch What Happens Live host even compared the new series to The Real Housewives of New Jersey, saying, “[it] does kind of remind you of early ‘Jersey’ in a weird way.
As of now, there is no release date for RHORI, but in the meantime, it’s best to rewatch Season 1 of Jersey for an idea of what’s about to come.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey is available to stream on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
