At this year’s Bailey-cue, Brit Eady threw out a shocking rumor claiming that Charles Oakley had a baby with another woman while married to Angela Oakley. Unfortunately for Angela, that wasn’t the first time the rumor had been brought up in front of the cameras on Real Housewives of Atlanta. That meant she had no choice but to address it.
On RHOA Season 16, Episode 10, Angela confronted the rumors head-on. Believe it or not, this rumor about a mystery baby all started after an encounter with the legendary Wendy Williams.
How is Wendy Williams involved in Charles Oakley and wife Angela Oakley’s baby drama?
During the RHOA episode “Meditations and Mediations,” Angela explained how a run-in with the iconic talk show host sparked a persistent rumor about a side baby. Wendy and Charles were hosting an event together when Angela tried to console her about the love child Wendy’s husband had.
“You know her husband was in the news for having a baby, so I walked up to Wendy and said, ‘It’s only a baby,’” Angela recalled. “She was like, ‘Have you ever been through that?’ And I was like, ‘Yes, I have.’”
Wendy assumed Angela was talking about Charles, but she wasn’t. Angela was referring to a previous relationship. However, Wendy went on her show and retold the story as if Charles were the culprit.
“There was an article about it. She said it on her show,” Angela continued. “Charles doesn’t care, meanwhile, I’m like ‘Wait a minute, people really think this.’”
Although Charles didn’t have a side baby on Angela, the NBA star isn’t totally innocent in this relationship. Angela admitted that there were some instances of infidelity. They separated a year into their marriage, which might explain why she’s so desperate for a vow renewal.
