From sharing her journey with using wigs, to her emotional moments throughout her recovery, she’s been open and honest and everything she’s been going through. The latest update regarding Teddi’s latest health was great news. Whilst she is still scheduled to continue immunotherapy for the next few years, her tumors are shrinking.
From Teddi’s Bravo fans to her former RHOBH co-stars, she’s been receiving love and support since the beginning. There’s also another big vessel of motivation in her life, and she just memorialized this heartwarming bond on her body.
Teddi Mellencamp’s new tattoo over her cancer surgery scar has a connection to dad John Mellencamp
Teddi recently took to social media to show off a new tattoo she got done on her back. The new ink sits right alongside her surgery scar from a melanoma removal procedure in 2024.
“Can you guess what my new tat says? We did family tat day yesterday and of course this is what I picked,” she wrote in the IG caption.
The words are, “Life is short even in its longest days.” This comes straight from iconic music artist, who also happens to be her father, John Mellencamp. Specifically, this phrase is a lyric from his song “Longest Days”, a featured track on his successful 2008 “Life, Death, Love and Freedom” album.
Reports have shared that John has been very vocal and involved in her road to recovery. It wasn’t long ago when Teddi admitted that she and her dad hadn’t been in contact for years. If anything, this tattoo is a good indication that their relationship is stronger than ever.
