Not all Summer House stars are created equal. Season 9 was a victory lap for some cast members, and a lesson for others. While Paige DeSorbo was reveling in podcast success, Jesse Solomon was getting raked over the coals for getting a manicure. It was an interesting summer. Now that Season 9 is coming to a close, let’s discuss how the players fared this year.

Here are the winners and losers of Summer House Season 9.

Paige DeSorbo – Winner

When Paige announced her breakup with Craig Conover in December 2024, many fans sided with Craig, believing he was completely blindsided by the split. Within days, the Giggly Squad host was bombarded with comments saying she was unfaithful to Craig, which she has always denied. The internet believed Paige led Craig on for years, and broke up with him without warning.

Season 9 of Summer House paints a very different picture and in my opinion, vindicates Paige. Viewers saw Paige struggling to balance her career and her relationship all summer. She was open about feeling unsupported by Craig as her career blossomed, saying she felt unsure if he was happy about her success. The former couple had multiple conversations about her hesitation to settle down and move to Charleston. All this to say, the breakup certainly did not come out of nowhere. Justice for Paige!

West Wilson – Loser

West Wilson returned to Summer House with his tail between his legs. His fractured relationship with Ciara Miller hurt his reputation with fans, who felt he led on his co-star. He tried to repair the damage and get back in Ciara’s good graces, but he was unsuccessful. When she wasn’t yelling at him, she was avoiding him. It wasn’t his best season, but I think spending a summer as the house’s sacrificial lamb will help him in the long run. He’s done his time. Hopefully, he can go back to being his goofy self next summer.

Ciara Miller – Winner

I’ve always loved Ciara, and I felt she was unfairly maligned on Season 9 of Summer House. Jesse used her as a scapegoat to avoid committing to Lexi Wood, which was NOT cool. His words affected Lexi’s perception of Ciara, believing she was unsupportive of their relationship and untrustworthy. In reality, I don’t think Ciara really cared about them or their relationship. She tried to mind her own business but they kept dragging her back into their drama. She received some hate in the beginning but overtime, viewers realized Jesse and Lexi’s issues had nothing to do with her. I think she emerged a winner.

Jesse Solomon – Loser

Jesse dethroned his BFF West this summer as the biggest f*ckboy in the summer house. I don’t doubt his behavior inspired many female viewers to delete their dating apps and take a vow of chastity. One day, he was confessing his love to Lexi, and the next, he was getting his toe sucked by a random stranger. I’ve always been a fan of Jesse and I’m confident he can redeem himself next season, but Season 9 was not a great look.

Lexi Wood – Loser

I was #TeamLexi for the majority of Season 9, but I think she lost the plot a little at the end there. She had a right to be mad about 99.9 percent of the stuff Jesse did this summer, but the manicure thing in the second-to-last episode felt like a stretch. She wanted out of the relationship and was searching for a reason to end it. Rather than admitting that her feelings changed, she painted him as a villain for getting a manicure. Ok? The whole thing was a little confusing. I found myself feeling bad for him for the first time all season.

Lindsay Hubbard – Winner

It’s hard to deny that Lindsay Hubbard won the breakup. She returned to the Hamptons with a new man, a pregnant belly, and a new attitude. She managed to stay out of most of the drama this year, winning back some fans who turned on her in Season 8. I enjoyed watching her in Season 9. She was funny and (for the most part) unproblematic. No notes.

Carl Radke – Loser

It was a tough summer for Carl Radke. He attended his ex’s gender reveal party, got dragged for not having sex, and got rejected by Ciara. Brutal. It wasn’t his best summer but at least fans seemed to sympathize with him. We have to give him props for living in a house with his pregnant ex-fiancée all summer. That is not for the weak.

Summer House is available to stream on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
