Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke are still considering whether to expand their family or not. And the conversation spilled out from Season 9 of Summer House to the reunion itself.
The Season 9 reunion trailer dropped and there will be conflict between the married couple. They will revisit the topic of children and seemingly prove that they are not on the same page.
Amanda Batula says Kyle Cooke will have to be on her “page” with pregnancy
The Summer House exclusively explained her comments from the reunion trailer to Us Weekly. The teaser clip was released on Thursday, May 21 and shows Amanda and Kyle heatedly discussing “the future.”
“He’s gonna have to be on my page. If he could grow the baby, it could be on his timeline. But it’s happening in this body,” Amanda said.
While Amanda perceives Kyle as “not ready to have kids,” he argued at the reunion that “everything” he does is to “build a future” for a potential family. His wife retorted, “I’m ready to have kids with someone who’s ready to have kids with me. There will be no future if all he does is work.”
Amanda added that her “frustration” stems from how Kyle communicated with her the issue during the season.
“There was a lot of stuff on this season that was like, him wanting to be a father, and, like, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, but he’s having this conversation with other people, and not the person that’s supposed to carry his child,” she argued. “So if he was actively [saying], ‘Hey, I want to have kids. Like, we should start trying to have kids,’ that would be different. That’s not a conversation that we’re having.”
Amanda continued, “[Kyle has] been DJing, he’s gone every weekend. Like, in what world exactly? I know that he wants to be a father one day, but I know he’s not ready. And if he was ready, you know, I think he would be like, ‘I’m ready to have a family.’”
Perhaps some of the inconsistencies can be worked through. For her part, Amanda has been focusing on her mental health and feels better than ever.
