Once the Real Housewives of London were revealed, it was only a matter of time before their scandalous pasts came out. The newest Real Housewives cast was confirmed recently. After a rumored casting crisis, the official Real Housewives of London are Karen Loderick-Peace, Great British Bake Off’s Nessie Welschinger, Juliet Mayhew, Panthea Parker, Juliet Angus, and Amanda Cronin.
This group includes has everything including millionaire socialite status, famous exes, reality TV experience, celeb connections, luxurious wealth, and, naturally, some scandals. These juicy tidbits may give us a hint of what drama to expect from the cast before the Real Housewives of London premieres on Hayu. Here’s everything we know about the Real Housewives of London cast scandals so far.
Juliet Mayhew
Juliet Mayhew is an Australian model turned “Event and Lifestyle Imaginer” (per her Instagram). She’s a close friend of Neighbours star Holly Valance, who was spotted filming with the RHOL cast. Juliet is also devout Christian. She regularly posts Bible verses on her social media.
Juliet made headlines in 2020 for spilling all about her “painful” wedding night. Appearing on a Christian talk show, Juliet told host Cynthia Garrett that she was a virgin before marrying Anthony Mayhew at 29. She said she was unprepared and ill-informed about sex and was “horrified.”
Despite the “painful” experience, Juliet stands by her choice. Not only that, but she encourages others to do so as well. On the same show, she revealed what she says when lecturing about abstinence. “I was like ‘girls, If you are representing excellence just stop sleeping with your boyfriends'” Juliet said. She added, “I think people from the pulpit need to start setting some boundaries.”
Deciding whether or not to have sex before marriage is a personal choice. The way Juliet talks about lecturing others to follow her lead leaves a bad taste in my mouth. And I imagine some future Real Housewives of London viewers will feel the same. Telling girls they aren’t “representing excellence” if they sleep with boys feels shamey to me. Those comments might not go over so well!
Amanda Cronin
The next Real Housewife of London, Amanda Cronin’s claim to fame is having the “longest legs in Belgravia.” But that’s not all. She’s also the ex of an 80s icon. Amanda dated former Wham! member Andrew Ridgeley for about a year. When she broke up with him in 2023, she told the Daily Mail he wasn’t “relationship material.”
“I’m looking for a monogamous relationship,” Amanda said after the split. “When the next Mr Right comes along, he will have the same set of values that I have.” Amanda called herself “quite traditional, a sweet, country girl,” adding, “I’m also discerning and want to be around other people who understand what that means.” She continued, “I’m intelligent, demanding. Not for everyone.”
She also said of the relationship, “I’m quite proud of it. He’s a good person and it was just great, a lot of fun, and will make a fabulous chapter in my memoir.” She sounds like Real Housewives material to me! Especially since she lives in a Belgravia mansion, has a chauffeur, and a jewelry collection allegedly worth 10 million pounds. She also recently hung out with Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Meredith Marks.
In addition to her famous legs and ex, Amanda has a luxury skincare line. However, the company has debts up to 290,00 pounds. And only has 3,000 pounds worth in assets. That doesn’t sound so good!
We know how Real Housewives frequently question and come after each other’s businesses, and the resulting scandals. Just ask Meredith’s co-star Whitney Rose. So, Amanda should probably be prepared for that.
Juliet Angus
Bravo fans may already be familiar with Juliet Angus, the first confirmed Real Housewife of London. She previously appeared on Ladies of London. That series is getting a reboot. At this time, we don’t know if Juliet will appear on both shows, or just stick with Real Housewives of London.
Like Amanda, Juliet has a famous ex. She dated actor and comedian Bob Saget in the 90s. In a tribute post after his passing, Juliet joked, “thank you for never being an *ssh*le to me in my 20’s.” A tribute I’m sure the famously filthy comedian would’ve loved!
Juliet frequently shows off her luxurious and enviable lifestyle. This used to include her massive handbag collection. Which included a custom Bvlgari bag and many famously expensive handbags from Hermes.
Unfortunately, Juliet lost her collection when she was the victim of burglary last year. After the robbery, Juliet posted on Instagram about rebuilding her collection after “25 years of collecting stolen by horrible humans, low-life criminals.” She added, “have to start all over. These bags are expensive, and a lot of work goes into being able to afford just one.”
However, Juliet’s response to the robbery earned backlash. Some commenters on her Instagram post called Juliet “out of touch” for being so upset about a collection of handbags. Others criticized her for continuing to show off her pricey purses after getting robbed. One commenter called her “tasteless” for seemingly showing how easily she could replace her old luxury possessions.
We’ll have to see if Juliet gets more criticism for being out of touch when Real Housewives of London premieres on Hayu.
