Now that Season 3 of Below Deck Down Under is over, it’s time to reflect on its many boatmances. One standout was between Harry van Vilet and Brianna Duffield. Slowly but surely, the crew members made it known to one another that they liked each other.
By the end of the season, the two became official – well, kind of. They agreed to be exclusive partners, but weren’t ready to use the boyfriend and girlfriend labels just yet. The “couple” also made plans on-camera to travel the world together to further figure their relationship out. Did this romantic trip actually come to pass? Are they finally an item? Harry just gave an important update.
Below Deck Down Under’s Harry and Bri broke up due to “long distance”
Harry recently took to social media to confirm that he and Bri were no longer pursuing a romantic relationship together.
“The question everyone has been asking, are Bri and I still together? The answer is no, we broke up a few months after filming ended,” he explained in the caption of an IG post.
The reality TV star did share, though, that they did uphold their on-screen promise to travel together. He comprised a compilation of photos of the two taking on the world, one step at a time.
“Once filming wrapped we planned to travel as much as we could and we did! Visiting Africa, the Middle East, the US, Europe and even SE Asia! We had a blast but inevitably we had to go back to work which meant doing long distance which took a toll on the relationship and led to us breaking up.”
Alas, another BBDU boatmance has fallen by the wayside. Harry did made clear that they didn’t end their adventurous fling on bad terms. Nevertheless, here’s to hoping that if they both star in Season 4, it won’t be completely awkward.
