Some casting rumors turn out to be true, while some turn out to be just wishful thinking. And there were lots of rumors about the cast of the upcoming Real Housewives of London. Some proved true, others not so much. One rumor that didn’t pan out was that actress Patsy Kensit would be joining the ladies. It turns out, she turned down joining RHOLDN.
The RHOLDN series was announced last year and fans were on tenterhooks wondering who would be joining the cast. It turned into quite a bit of drama as rumors swirled that the show was facing a casting crisis trying to find just the right group of ladies. One of those ladies was Patsy, who felt her down-to-earth lifestyle didn’t fit the glitz and glam of the London based spin-off.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Patsy confirmed that she did sit down with the production crew for RHOLDN.
“I did have a meeting with them,” Patsy revealed at the British Soap Awards. “But I live in my little flat in West Hampstead with my cat. My sons have flown the coop. I don’t think my lifestyle would stand up to these women. I wouldn’t fit in with them.”
Her concern is understandable. While Patsy is definitely famous and stunning, most fans associate housewives with luxe and lavish lifestyles. In fact, one of the first casting rumors for RHOLDN was for millionaire socialite Panthea Parker who lives a jet-setting glamorous life.
Perhaps Patsy felt she would rather watch the ladies instead of being a part of them. She confirmed this again on her social media. However, her cheeky P.S. also gives fans hope that we may yet see her as a housewife some day!
“I’m a huge fan,” she added. “I think the whole franchise is just phenomenal. Dawn Ward is one of my favorites. I am a superfan of hers!”
The full cast for RHOLDN has been revealed. It includes a group with A-list connections from Panthea to Karen Loderick-Peace, millionaire mogul Amanda Cronin and Ladies of London alum Juliet Angus to name a few.
Real Housewives of London is set to premiere on Hayu this year.
