Season 7 of The Real Housewives of Miami is serving us the friendship breakup that no one saw coming. Last season, Julia Lemigova was there for Guerdy Abraira as she battled breast cancer. Now the feud between these former RHOM friends is red-hot. After Guerdy showed off some receipts, Julia is explaining her odd behavior.
Julia Lemigova tries to explain her RHOM Season 7 mental state
During the Season 7 RHOM premiere, Julia shared some news with the cast via a Zoom call. She and her wife, Martina Navratilova, were adding two young boys to their family. However, Guerdy’s call dropped. When she reached out to Julia, her former bestie told her to find out from the press.
This seemed like unbelievable behavior from Julia. So, Guerdy shared their text messages. Gulp. After experiencing some backlash for her actions towards Guerdy, Julia posted a message via Instagram. “My beautiful souls, this season, you’ve seen a different side of me, one I’ve struggled to fully explain,” Julia wrote.
She added that she was thrilled to welcome her two sons. “But here’s the part that no one saw: the adoptions weren’t finalized. It was overwhelming,” she posted. Julia stated that the experience was “beautiful, yes, but also fragile, sacred, and stressful beyond words.”
She continued, “So when moments came up, like sending that strange message you all saw, I didn’t always show up as my most present or thoughtful self. And when it came to Guerdy, the truth is, at the time, we weren’t in the close, heart-connected place we had once been. Our friendship had shifted a bit.” Still, Julia’s reaction to Guerdy reaching out seemed off.
“So, when she reached out, I was so wrapped in protecting my own emotional chaos, I fumbled. I never meant to come off cold, careless, or bizarre. I was simply in a storm of my own,” Julia wrote. She concluded her message, “With love always, Julia.”
