It may have been a rocky start, but the Below Deck crew went all out for their porn guest stars. And Captain Kerry Titheradge is not happy about the “pathetic” tip they left at the end of their five-day charter.
While there was some missteps when the guests first arrived, including forgetting the luggage, on the whole, it looks the crew pulled it together and the guests had a great time. However, according to Captain Kerry, the gratuity they left does not reflect that in the least.
Below Deck’s Captain Kerry wasn’t happy with the pornstar guest’s tip
During the Monday, June 23 episode of the Bravo series, Captain Kerry praised the staff for their hard work. This is a far cry from him considering firing people just days into the charter. Unfortunately, the tip left was lower than expected.
“I am really impressed with everyone’s performance on this charter. The theme nights, the water sports, and the food,” Captain Kerry said. “This does not reflect it though. It is pathetic,” he added about the tip the guests left. Looks like Captain Kerry is now confident in his crew despite earlier reservations. Too bad the guests didn’t reward them accordingly.
“Is it that bad?” Chief Stew Fraser Olender asked.
“It is $19,990 and that is $1,500 each, but for a five-day charter, I would expect a lot more,” Captain Kerry replied. The crew all looked visibly disappointed. After all the penises they endured including making a giant sand penis, this was quite low.
Fraser even shared the video clip with a caption, “So we’re pro bono girlies now? How chic.”
In a confessional, Damo Yorg and Kyle Stillie joked that they “got shafted.”
For some context Fraser shared what he typically expects tips wise from a charter. According to him they typically get $25,000 to $30,000 for their time and effort. Kate Chastain also added her two cents and said on a good-sized yacht a good tip would be approximately $2,000 to $2,500 per crew member for charters shorter than seven days.
Below Deck airs Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
